got a couple of questions for you guys.
1)can the front sway bar be removed if you have lowering springs on or is not recommended.
2)if i remove it can i drive on the freeway with the car.i drag the car about 3 times a month

As fin mentioned, yes, I have Steeda Ultralites which dropped the car 1" all the way around. I drive mine on the autobahn, upwards of 150mph with zero issues.

I had mine off for about two years. I didn't like it while driving on the highway. Now that the swaybar is back on, I see how much it affected my ET. I'm buying another delete. Probably UPR this time. It's cheaper than the BMR piece.

wouldnt it drive the same with the upr delete.to my understanding the upr delete is just a radiator support,i dont see how the car would drive any different with the upr than with the sway bar removed.

what I was saying is I'd rather have a lower ET than have the nice ride on the highway. That's why I'm buying another one. I sold the one I had to joedls. I'm just gonna buy the cheaper one.

Just curious, what kind of ET improvement can you expect by removing the sway bar?

I took mine off this weekend and did not notice much differance in the drive. I did pull the wheels a bit higher, and launched quicker.

last night my swaybar was limiting my frontend travel and unloading the suspension resulting in tire spin immediately after a dead hook. The car went 7.94 spinning badly in first.

I took mine off this weekend i don't really like the feel on the highway but i took the car to the track an slapped on some m/t et streets and pulled numerous low 1.9 60's and i can defiantly see how it was limiting my front end travel the car did awesome with it off

My 2 cents....

I run steeda sway bars front & rear, stiffer steeda lowering springs, I don't have relocation brackets to level my LCAs and I have not adjusted my pinion angle (stock UCA).

Despite that all, my last time to the strip 8 of my 10 60's were in the 1.6x range (1.66 being the average) with ET street radials and 3.55 gears in a full weight (3550 lb) car.

So if you ask me if you do not have to make your car handle like poop to hook up. My car hooks up extremely well, and I never get wheel hop or tire shake. The only difference between my car when it is used for track/autocross and drag racing is the wheels/tires and shock settings.

Yes but Have you tried taking it off at the dragstrip? Couldn't hurt to try

Trying to decide if I want to do this mod or not . I am hearing you guys say that the sway bar limits the amount that the front struts and suspension can move , but my car is in the air now and I can disconnect the sway bar with no tension on it with the wheels hanging in the air. To me this tells me that it is not a factor in suspension travel and just a weight mod. I'm also hearing mixed reviews on how the car drives on the street . I am fully aware that on a road track you would want the sway bar there , but on the street and highway and slight corner play on the road is there really that much difference.
