So you don't think those are good gains? I did back to back testing on the CMDPs back in early 2008 and they only gained 6 rwhp.

But the 6hp gain was n/a was it not? I'm pretty sure if you add delete plates to an F/I car the gains would be much more than 6hp.

I don't get it. People used to say the delete plates were worth maybe 10rwp combined with udp's. Now people make it sound like 20+hp gains are all in the delete plates.

What's so hard to understand? d/p aren't much n/a but should be more with an f/i setup. I didn't say 20hp worth though.

Yes on a N/A car, obviously. Much more? Maybe 10 rwhp. It's not all about the numbers and definitely not all about the peak power numbers.

Okay, so if delete plates are worth less than 20 (more like 10), but this intake gained 38 total...Where's the problem? Looks like a solid gain even considering what delete plates gain you.

^True enough. Just want to get a sense of the difference between going from stock intake with control valves to frpp with delete plates. If the difference is 30hp then fuck it, the frpp intake is worth the money.

Well fuck. I guess the gains we are looking for aren't gonna be there with this intake. How much of the gain could be due to the delete plates?

From this...

not quite yet.. there's the factor of the new bigger TB too! last time I checked when you buy the intake you dont get a TB for free..

so now we need to see what it is without the deletes and TB =-)

True. I'm sure that tbody is contributing. I'd imagine a GT500 tbody should post similar results.

The frpp tb is good for 1 to 2 hp na and 3 to 4 fi depending on setup. The op also has hot rod cams btw if you want to nit-pick everything lol

Can't please everyone.. In all reality, I bet that TB isn't adding much more than a few rwhp.

+1.

Its making good power from 4k on, looks like a nice gain to me regrdless of how much the manifold is making "by itself". Isnt that the point to do supporting mods that work well together?

Yeah, on a stock intake.

Come on, seriously? So it makes like 5-10rwhp on the frpp one then right? lol, geeze...

Matt d tested the frpp tb on the frpp intake. made like 1.5 hp on his na setup, fi is going to be 3-4hp just like on a stock intake manifold.

Which strut tower brace is that? Any clearance concerns?

I'm looking to get one soon and since I know I will end up drinking from the FRPP intake manifold Kool aid at some point, I want to make sure it's not a throw away.

I don't care for the TB Much at all but will definatly take the FRPP intake to go with my turbo. A couple of shops around here finally got there orders in.

Its a bullit stb, yes it clears, one of the few that does. The frpp intake manifold measures 8 and 3/4" tall where the stb goes across.(note the frpp intake mnaifold is not level and is taller in the rear) My steeda stb brace measures 8 and 3/4" from the heads so its gonna be a close fit for me hopefuly a couple washers should do the trick.
