They changed the design of the trans vents in 07 to a dual vent system and they way you have it pictured here is how we run the lines when we install our catch cans.

Thanks for the info. Mine is an '05 so I guess I won't worry about plugging it off. Should have my reservoir done today and I'll mount it tonight/tomorrow...

My 06 didn't have a T either and I put a catch can on as soon as I got my blower and saw I needed one..

I have a brand new stock one in the garage for cheap never installed . (see sig) What did you have in there ?

Re-built 5R55S. Disconnected the hose at the bell housing, drove around a bit throwing ATF everywhere, then checked the hose. Still dry. Pulled the inspection plug out of the driver's side and the front of the TC was dry and that pretty much confirmed it. I have a bad feeling that a quarter-of-a-toothpick sized piece of cornstock got into the drain notch at the bottom of the bell housng and worked it's way back behind the torque converter when I spun out in the rain a few weeks ago. That's the only possible thing I can think of.

Custom 3.1k triple disk, locally built. If this starts getting expensive again I may just bight the bullet and head on over to 4R70W country.

I am beginning to wonder if any trans out there is worth a crap.
Manual or Auto.
All seem to failing for some reason or another.
Might be time to go back to the old C-6; at least it held up to a lot of abuse.
Now that would be a project with all kinds of adapting problems to solve.
Or pull something out of a Caterpillar...
I feel for ya guys with all these problems ya been having.
Wonder when mine is going to let loose and break...:moan:
And I dont do anything like you people do to it.

I hope it doesn't get expensive for you. Unless you really want that 4R70W.

The folks that re-built it the last time. Fuck that, I could just get a TCI Streetfighter for $3,100. Or a stock used transmission for $600 and retire the car.

Convert to stick and by my old trans  For that money I think you are better served going with a TCI Streetfighter.

I picked up a JDM catch can today and am confused as shit on how to install this; since I have a 2010 do I have 1 or 2 vents? I have looked at this thread and tried to picture how the install is going to go and for some reason I can't picture it.

Help?
