The stoich is different for E85 and the tuner accounts for that, but as Kris posted it's still targeted for similar numbers

So wait, you DIDN'T have to upgrade to a triple pump system or anything like that? I would LOVE to run E85 and it's readily available here. I have the GT500 setup with 80lb injectors and am soon going to add the dual BAP. Does it all come down to the tuner and his tuning abilities?
When I did that engine you said you were going to be running E85 and not pump gas. WTF?

KrisR , what a/f did you end up at and how much timing is in the tune?

My engine is 8.7.1 stock head and cam and I made alot more hp and tq when switching over. Besides the fuel trims , timing makes a big difference.

I just can't imagine who told you that. :thud:

Switch it over. NOW. Take it to Jeff and get after it.

So I'll be fine with what I have in there now as far as the fuel setup goes?

My car is sitting at my cousins shop, he's looking over a few things. Going to change the oil a second time since I changed it with the metal in it to see if there is still some in there and he is also going to try and find that noise. He already said one wheel wasn't completely tight (don't know how I missed that) and he said the brake caliper that MD changed, they never put a top shim on :handjob: so that was ONE of my noises...

You should be ok to about 600 rwhp with that pump setup. Get it dialed in and start saving for a triple pump system.

I only have the stock GT500 setup + 80# injectors as of right now, will I still be fine without the dual BAP or do I need that? I'd rather not get that and just save for the triple pump system

Keep the power under 600 hp. Jeff can watch the tune and see what the car is doing so it is safe.

Sweet! I think I can squeeze out 550-570 rwhp with the GT500 ported TB and switching to E85. Most of my local Kroger's sell E85 and my mom always shops there and never gets gas there. So with her rewards I can be getting E85 for about $1.70 a gallon :beerdrink:

How much boost/timing are you running?

A/F is in the 11.5 range (on a regular wideband calibrated for gasoline), with a dip to lower-11s at the very top. IMHO, it could have been closer to 12.0:1 and still been safe and probably picked up some hp, but whatever.

Old timing curve with 92 octane was around 23 degrees down low, 18 degrees through the torque peak, ramping up to about 21 by 6600rpm. Now it has 27 degrees down low (less then 5lbs of boost), 23 degrees through the torque peak (around 5000rpm), and it just touches 25 at the very top.

The first pull, with the old timing curve and 10.0:1 afr on E85, made like 420rwhp and 400ft-lbs. lol. Timing and air/fuel does make a huge difference.

LOL Same happened to me without the timing in it the a/f was 10.0 as well .
Mine see's 23 straight across from WOT , A/F is around 11.6 to 11.8 at the end of the pull . I ran it at 22 to 23 psi's . I dont have ported heads so I only pull the motor to 6000 rpm's. Im having spark blow out issue's so I cannot turn the boost up any more unless I close the gap on the plugs around .018 or get a BAS. Once it stops blowing the spark out Ill turn it up to 25 or 27 psi's.

Do you have ported Heads ? I just read that its a supercharged Car also . How much boost ?

Stock heads, cams, intake mani, TB. 8.5:1 forged bottom end and longtubes are the only nonfactory items other than the forced induction. Boost gauge touches 15psi just as I hit the limiter (6700rpm).
