OK... just installed MT 265-40-18 drag radials on my stock bullitt rims.

What is the suggested normal driving tire pressure? 30 psi?

What should I start w/ at the track? I have heard 17 psi?

Other than driving in the rain... which I WILL NO BE DOING (not a DD), what precautions should I take for normal everyday driving around?

Anyone install mud flaps to keep the sticky tires from throwing up rocks and gravel?

thanks

sorry don't know about the PSI... but i have seen a few people put the shelby flaps on the back to keep the rocks off... they aren't to big and don't look to bad.

at the track I would start at around 18 psi and go from there. The only time mine ever see the street is when i'm going to or from the track, which is literally 5 minutes from my house, so I leave the pressure at whatever I had it set on. Last time I left the track on 13 psi because the damn car wouldn't hook.

as I've mentioned in your other thread

typical street use I use 30

track I've found 17 to work best

they can be driven in the rain with common sense if needed (especially when new)

and I threw a set of GT500 flaps on the car...

I typically drove around at 26-28 psi on the street. Anything higher seemed to wear the centers out prematurely.

At the track.....start with 18 psi and go from there.

Tim - keep something in mind, the 265/40/18 has a smaller sidewall then the vast majority of DRs. IMHO on the street you want to air them up a bit more then a bigger sidewall DR

The M/T's I ran were the 275/40-17 then I switched to the M&H 275/50-17. TexasKyle had the M&H 18" d/r's on his car at 30 psi and it took the centers out too. I've just seen better results at 28 psi or so. Even on my former black '98 GT with Nitto d/r's I ran them at 28 psi. Anything more.......yup. Took the middle right out of the tire.

the M&H racemasters i have at about 30 for the street, and 13.5 for the track

The M&H 275/50-17's are what I am running as well. I leave them at around 20 all the time. I don't have enough clutch to worry about traction with these tires on.

I run 29-30psi on the street (seems like 28 turns on the low tire indicator light) and anywhere from 12-14 psi at the track. Your results may vary.
