Damn did the forum die out or what?!? It's spring you would think people would be mod bat crazy right now. I got the crank and belt off. Pulled the engine cover and called it quits for today. My back kills from bending over. 8 hours into it.

Yeah I got the belt off and the other questions taken care of. I was just tired. That's the thread I followed. I stopped once I got the engine cover off, hope to finish the job next weekend. Then I can start to install the blower.

Nice. I wish I would have done gears before I installed the blower. Now I cant decide if its worth pulling it apart and doing before I do a forged rotating assembly..

Seeing a few guys blow the stock oil pump gears on basic blower kits had my mind made up. $270 for the MMR gears and one extra weekend for the labor. I also spent about $20 for new seals for peace of mind, crankshaft seal, engine cover seals, ect, + $13 for the MMR crank bolt.

I made it to page 17 on the Paxton build then switched over to removing the oil pump gears. Already had coolant drained, fan out, ect. I thought about it and decided to do it now than later when it would take even longer since the blower will be on it. Also it's not really all that bad so far. Font pulleys come off + belts, tstat housing, waterpump, coil packs, valve covers, alternator, engine cover, set timing, timing chains, then out comes the oil pump. Add fresh billet gears, some seals, gasket maker, and put it back together. I'm having fun so far lol

My buddy gave me shit because he said you only need the billet gears for 650+hp and it's a waste of time unless your building the motor. I don't agree with that since I've literally talked to a few guys that blew the gears doing log runs on a few stock supercharged cars. Long story short the motor is now hurt because of zero oil pressure at 600hp, oil pump housing is destroyed as well. No thanks lol. Sure they might of been 1-3 reported people out of thousands...but it's one less thing to factor in going wrong.

I tried to search this thread with no results. Im trying to remove the OEM pulley off the Boss 302 alternator that you buy from AM. My OEM 5.0 alternator went bad so might as well "upgrade". When I initially installed the 8-rib setup I removed the 5.0 alternator pulley with an impact gun. Doing the same with the Boss pulley and not having any luck. Im also being very cautious since the mom and pop shop stripped the Boss alternator i bought the other week causing me to order another one. Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks in advance.

Is it mounted? I'd use the belt for extra tension and hit it with the impact.

No its not mounted. Looks like I have to use an alternator pulley removal tool. I'll post results for the next guy

Well, I finally finished my setup and she goes on the rollers today. Can't wait to see what she makes.

Numbers were made on the stock pulley (3.8) and E85. I have a 3.33 pulley but I am not going to install it until I install my RXT and axle exchange pieces. 641/529 with intake tube on and 671/542 with no intake tube.

Ok now I'm stuck. Got to the part where is says install the supplied shorter fuel rail spacers..I don't have any?! All I have left is the PVC stuff, a few couplers for the intake, and AT parts I didn't use. Am I missing something or can I reuse the stock spacers with my Id1000's...

Use stock spacers all you do for injectors is put them in the fuel rails with the purple things. The clips go on the injector to the purple adapter. No clip on the actual rail like stock ones were on.
If you need a pic or more explaining let me know.
