Judges over rules DMV on vanity plates

I had a CA Plate "HAHA55" when the speed limit was 55. Lets just say the CA CHP didn't like my sense of humor. I got tickets for "Defiance of letter of law" ! I DON'T MISS CA trust me I love Texas wish I woulda moved sooner !

 

and yet i cant have JEWC in Texas because its offensive.

Stupidity abounds. Oregon forced Mike Udink to turn in his plates in 2007 because the last four letters could be a racial slur against Asians. Growing up i was known as a drunk jew lol, wanted to get drunk but too cheap to pay for anything.

 

Yeah. NY didn't like my first plate BLUBYU on a 2005 Sonic Blue Mustang GT. DMV approved but the plate did not arrive. I eventually received a letter from NY State Police telling me that was denied. Then I applied for SSONIC and had that on the car for 2 years. Then I dropped that and applied for OBRIAN. That plate was literally taken away after I had it on the car. NY State Police sent a letter stating the plate had already been issued to another vehicle (but I blame that on politics). Now I have 0BRIAN. LOL.

 

When I was still in the military I was supposed to be stationed in Washington State after leaving the Philippines but my orders were changed to Pope Air Force Base, North Carolina right next to Fort Bragg. No Hope Pope was a crappy assignment and I was not happy so I managed to get my North Carolina license plates approved as 2Madre which stood for Tu Madre (Your Mother) in Spanish.

I live in Utah now where the DMV has lists of offensive terms in over 100 languages so 2Madre wouldn't get approved.

 

I had "BLOWN" in my state at one time years ago. I did write a letter with an explanation when I requested it.

 

That definitely wouldn't get approved in Utah even with an explanation.

Hell, Utah disapproved a request for 'Wingman' from a pilot no less.

 

I had STROKD on my '66 mustang and WANKEL on my RX8 when we lived in Kentucky.

Kind of surprised they allowed, but I guess KY don't care.
