true, but that was on a built engine with a supercharger IIRC. And the mac's are 1 3/4" versus most others that were 1 5/8"
I personally have no experience with midlengths, just longtubes. But, on my 06, I dropped .35 and gained 3mph consistantly with stainless works longtubes and a retune. Before, the car only had a CAI and axlebacks.
If you remember that test then look at the numbers again, look at kooks
1 5/8 gains thoughout the rpm range compared to others, the macs with the bigger 1 3/4 only beat the kooks on peak numbers as expected for a supercharged car. The kooks gains are oustanding throughout the range compared to other full longtubes tested. Mid lengths have the top end flow of longtubes and great low-mid of shorties.
Look at the 2v as well, when bassani mid-lengths came out, they blew full longtubes out of the water, not to mention the sound!
I had the kooks headers before i went turbo and it was solid gains throughout the rpm range.
