Very true about that, and not comparing it to a human life at all. We have just followed you for so long, we just want to see you succeed. Lol

I'm just saying that there is no set plan at this point. Its not the end of the world. I will be fine what ever happens. My plans really are going to be determined on whether the crank survives or not. Anything is possible at this point. Oil pump, bearings , and balancer hub, maybe it goes back together. Add a crank to that and, well IDK.

I may be missing something else but how does a crank bolt backing out toast the bearings?

Edit nvm forgot you had a blower

The blower is pulling on it, with the bolt out and 7 k pulls, with the balancer wobbling, there is a TON of movement placed on the front main bearing and oil pump. I have not opened up the motor yet, but this is what I expect to see.

The front main will be toast, the next couple will be warn, all the others including the rods will be damaged from the metal in the oil and the oil pump will most likely be warn or broke. I am hoping the cams are spared.

Basically FUBAR!

I would just sale it and buy a 15' but then I am just starting over with a 100 HP bonus and once I am at 700 HP I am in the same boat as I am now and building motors.

If I wanted a nice 600 rwhp DD, I would get a new car. I don't though, I want a fast track car that can be driven on the street.

You'd kill it in a Coyote though. With your love for the sport and the power level you're wanting it just seems "practical", but then that would be too easy. You could get into a Coyote, Turbo it with Dustin's kit and supporting mods or whatever you're flavor is and be in the 9's(low 10's for sure) with a DD. Build the motor and do the same and 8's(9's for sure) and still be able to drive it. Missing entire race seasons wouldn't be so frequent.

I admire your stamina but I would have set that car on fire 6 builds ago. LOL!!!

Jus messin witcha Billy. Keep doing what you're doing if it makes ya happy.:hat:

Yote blocks are fragile up at those power levels. Not nearly as strong as a 4.6. The Yote is an awesome motor. But at 1000hp I would rather have the 3v.

I vote for a 5.3L Boss setup with an R-Spec. Just sayin.

I'm still trying to figure out how you have such bad luck. You seem to have such attention to detail, your car is a speeding bullet show car (meaning it's immaculate), and it seems like the most random things keep happening. I know once you shoot for such lofty goals shit breaks and that's life, but I do feel for your situation. How do you even begin to part with a car like this. I get that you can part it out, etc but man that's like deconstructing the Mona Lisa. Good luck with whatever you chose.

......Btw coyote.....just saying.

Easy guys, its a motor not a human life. It will either get fixed or sold. Life goes on.

Of course! But from the outside looking in, that car has been a big kick to the nuts for the last year or so. I'm just hoping your fortunes change soon! Planning, building, and driving are fun, but fixing expensive broken parts is not.

You've got a great attitude. Hopefully the crank and cams are okay and you can get back to playing with your toy.

The 3V costs as much as any other engine to get up near the 4 figure hp mark. And honestly it's a bit of a bargain.

^^^ This! Your car is a HUGE inspiration for the rest of us 3v guys, when it fails just rebuild it better and stronger than before! Don't turn to the 4v dark side, that would be too easy and a lot less impressive than what you have now, just sayin'
