Thought some of you might like to See & Read this test.

I'm looking into buying these M/T Street Comp Tires as well as the new M/T SC-5 wheels.

My decision will be made this coming week when I see both in person.

Mickey Thompson SC-5 new wheels ...

for the price they are a decent tire, of course I cant fully rate them because they are after all a summer tire and its February lol but I like them so far, like any other summer tire they leave much to be desired until properly warmed up

That makes perfect since for sure. :thumb2:

If you wait a little while I might be able to Post a picture of the M/T Street Comp tire, (275-35-20) on their New SC-5 10.5" wheel.

I will be looking right at them this coming week.

If I like then they will mount the tire and wheel on my Bullitt so we can see what it will look like on the Mustang.

You might want to know that M/T is going to come out later with more tire choices.
(Late 2013 or 1st of 2014)

But also in some cases there is not all that much real difference in size between the 275 and 295 tires.

There is a difference but not as dramatic as one might think.

I looked up the 295 size in different tires to compare to the 275 M/T Street Comp tire.
(Actual tread width)

I found out in some cases it was so slight it just really would not make any difference in traction on the street between the two sizes.

That is why I am going a head and going with the 275-35-20 M/T Street Comp for the rear if I like the tires when I see them.

yea i had heard they were coming out w more size's. im not so much worried about tread with or street traction, i just dont want the stretched look on my wheels.

my buddy at work just put some 275's on a 20' wheel on his 13' cs/gt and theres way to much wheel lip sticking out for me, hes running 275/35/20 Nitto Motivo's

I think some of it depends on which wheels the tires are mounted on.
Same size tire looks different according to what wheel it is on even though it is the same size tire.

After looking at the larger Pics. of that 2013 red GT project Mustang of M/T.

I'm thinking the combination might work out okay.

There are so many choices for a person to consider it will drive you crazy.

These are the one's that caught my attention.
My Bullitt Mustang is what is called Highland Green color.
That is like a Dark Green.
So I'm thinking these M/T wheels and tires will look bad ass on it.

Of course don't know until you put one on and get to see it for real.
Pics are okay but the real thing stops all the wondering.

This is what it looks like right now.

Man wheel choices just drive a person Crazy trying to decide.
I know I have had enough of them. :roflmao:

I like what I have right now but I am thinking this new set-up might be more of the (Muscle Car) look than what I have right now.

And also most of the Higher H/P Mustangs now run the 20" size wheels and tires.

Amy asked me how many different sets of tires/wheels the Tigermachine has had on it since new.

Usually I'm pretty good on this sort of trivia, but I think I lost count! :roflmao:

Al,

I have no idea how many to be honest. :dunce:

But I know it has certainly been a lot and looks like another set might very well be coming. :roflmao:

I should know that this coming week I think.

I'll take my camera and take some Pics. to Post of the new one's.

Also take a few Pics. of the other side of the rear to show the difference between the way the two look.

That is assuming I even like the new M/T ..........

275's are prob gonna be too narrow for a 10.5 wheel. I have 295's on my 10" razors.

I read you.

The 275-35-20's fit from a 9" to 11" wide wheels.

But I agree the 295 would be my 1st choice for sure.

No can do the 295 size because the New M/T Street Comp 20's largest size right now is the 275-35-20.

275/35R20 BLK 9.0" - 11.0" wide wheel per fitment tire chart.

So gotta run what they have for right now.

Terry

Here is the M/T 2013 Project Mustang.
I will be running the exact same set-up.

Wheels & Tires ..........

Mickey Thompson Street Comp Tires - Front: 255/35R20 Rear: 275/35R20
Mickey Thompson SC-5 Wheels – Front: 20x9 Rear: 20x10.5

That actually looks pretty good. I would have liked to see more "dish" on the back wheels but they're still nice. Kinda resembles my razors.
