I'd be asking how that broke......and when the chains jumped......did anything come into contact with the pistons?
Kind of where I was headed.
The chains didn't jump. It broke because the TFS crank gears are two piece. The first gear put way to much stress on the thin part of the key that rides just above the crank. Thankfully it was only causing driver side Cam to be off a degree or two. I already bore scoped the motor to check everything out.

Damn, glad you found it but this is not a good thing as Willy and Stroker have suggested. Doesn't somebody make a double keyway pulley ? If I recall correctly Mihovetz was doing this way back in the late 90s when running 9s was cool in a 2800# car. Wow Modulars have come a long way lol
As I'm reading more there was supposed to be a spacer installed with the TFS sprockets.. my kit did not come with the spacer... this would have put the sprockets on the meaty part of the key...

I have the same sprockets in mine, crap.
I did not have that spacer man. Do u want me to order another set or instal them strait up Lito?
