Did you have Autozone scan for codes? They can get codes that the sct won't pick up.

Try the easy stuff first like making sure all the vacuum lines are connected by grasping and pulling at both ends of each vacuum line and hose. Also go over the cai and make sure it's put together properly. It's possible for it to look like it's together when in actuality something has popped off enough to allow a post maf leak.

No, no smoke just barely moving. Car drove ok getting home. Autozone is out of stock of the cleaner, I'll check a couple other places tomorrow. I'm gonna drown my sorrows in Coors light and fireball and knock out some goggle research on the MAF sensor. Yeah that was it the damn hood isn't on right and it must have knocked the intake tube off the manifold. I checked it days ago to make sure it was all buttoned up but it must have just popped off when I shut the hood. The car still sounds like shit though at least that is fixed (fingers crossed)

Have you checked the state website on auto selling practices? It may very well be against the law for the dealer to sell a car without functioning emissions equipment. Most states have a website to contact the Attorney General through. You could also call the dealership and ask them what the law is and how to get ahold of the Attorney General. If they go on about the as is document thing you signed then they are probably in the wrong.

If it was sold AS-IS and you signed the buyers guide saying there is no warranty, guarantees, etc.... Then the dealer is not responsible. They did this probably because of the emissions stuff. You can still sell cars even if they fail the state inspection (at least I'm VA).

I never cease to be amazed at how many times good advice is given out on these forums and ignored. Wishing you the best of luck, but 90% of the time the reason a person trades in a car like that is because something's wrong with it.

Hell I distinctly recall removing the bulb from the "check suspension" on my old air suspension equipped Expedition when trading it in so I could get a better deal on my trade. My guess is the guy ditched it and went and got a new toy and took the tune with him and left the dealership with a piece of shit car. This is why you need to have an inspection done on any modified car before making a purchase. I only trusted buying my GT500 new from where I did because it was a Ford dealer who deals in a lot of SVT products and at 9500 miles in 5 years the owner hadn't modified it at all aside from some new tires and the clutch recall.

Umm you lost me there buddy. I don't remember ignoring any advice. I'm the type of person who absorbes everything I hear/read. If your assuming that I have read every single tread on here I haven't! But thanks for the lecture, it totally help my current situation. And one more thing if you bought yourself a gt500 your obviously doing a little better them me. Some of us fall into budgets. I'd love to have a gt350 vert but a used 5.0 is what I could afford.

How's everything going man? These things happen, hopefully you'll get it sorted. I've been down this road, been hosed on parts more than the car, but there's always a bright side.

Like others have said, take it to a reputable mustang shop, get your emissions shit taken care of, and try and troubleshoot the issues.

PM me if you wanna troubleshoot some more. Mine went full-retard about a month after I bought it, could not figure out what happened and freaked out. Turned out water was in the gas. You wouldn't believe how much shit i messed with until I said F it and drained the tank dry.

Put my phone under the car today and shots some pic of the cat deletes and saw that the o2 sensors are still there! Do you think I should order new ones or except it as a gift from the car gods lol

There should be 4 sensors total on an OEM setup. O/R pipes usually retain 2, and the tune shuts off/masks the other two. Factory cats will have 2 sensors per cat, one before (front) and one after (rear) the cat.

Those look like they are mounted on the cat delete pipes. If that's the case, all 4 are still there. My pipes were like that. No need to order any new sensors, unless you think those are shot.
