That's big different in the sidewall. How much wider is the tread?

You have 10 inch wheels, correct?

Tell me about it....I am so much happier with the look of this size!

The 275/45 had a 9 3/4" tread pattern on my 10" wheel and the 325/40 has just under 11" tread pattern.

Also answers my own question about how those 275's would look on my 9.5 inch wheels.

not really, its only 7MM difference if you do the math
Technically, "doing the math" will tell you the section width, not the tread width. And that is only accurate on a specific rim width. But, in reality, many tires are not exactly as rated, and M&H has always been one of those that are off.

Having said that, according to M&H, there is about 1.8" difference between the tread widths of the two, and 1.9" on the section width. The pics above would seem to confirm the expected 1.9" difference.

any other brand the 325 would probably be too big for the 10" rim.

m&h tend to run taller than wider

i ran a set on my corvette, to be honest they didn't hook as good as the hoosiers
