isn't the offset on the 15+ different than the 07s?

That's not a bad price, The tires alone are $1200 ...

The offset's are close enough, the backspacing is the bigger problem, The S550's have taller brake rotor hats so the wheels have more backspacing.

They'll tuck under more on an S197 chassis, especially the rears.

    S197 FRPP 19x9.5 wheel shows 7.05" backspacing with 44mm offset ..

S550 PP1 rears listed at 7.44" backspacing and 52mm offset.

    Front S197 19x9 listed at 6.61" BS/ 40mm offset ,, the PP1 19x9 is 6.81 and 45mm.

You would probably want to run a spacer.

Dang. I do not like spacers so I suppose I will forget that thought and choose different wheels

Maybe I'll start researching late model s197 19s. I can get Ford wheels cheap so likely sticking with them

Just for reference: The 10" "rear only" Boss 302 s wheels fit fine on all 4 corners, no rub. Currently I have 275/675 19 Pirelli slicks on them. I have room for a bigger tire still, but not much bigger. The Pirellis are 26.5" tall.

    Should not need any spacers.

The 2007 GT500 was running 18x9.5 wheels with 7.13" backspacing. There's plenty of clearance with 255/45 and 265/40 tires that I know of for sure. You gain a little strut clearance going up to 19" from 18" because the strut slopes inward as it goes up.

Out back, you could run wheels at least 10.5" wide with a +52 offset wheel. 18x11's clear just fine even with offsets a little bit more than +52.

I know 19s will fit, it's the offset and backspacing I'm concerned about with the new body wheels

Absolutely ZERO wrong with spacers so long as they are good ones. Hubcentric spacers are totally fine. Even non-hubcentric are fine if they are precision made.

It's the cheap cast spacers that are junk.

There's also no good reason to run them if you've got enough clearance without them. Enough clearance means that nothing rubs during any of your driving, not "I'm afraid it'll rub if I don't have something like a whole inch clearance to the strut".

I agree. I was just commenting on use of spacers.
