O2 sensor thread pitch

Does anyone know what size the threads on our O2 sensors are? One of mine decided to melt its threads on way out of the bung tonight. Looks like it borked up a few threads on the bung as well...

Flap - I recall a thread recently asking the same question. Don't remember if there were any responses, but you may want to run a search for that thread.

I don't recall the pitch but it is 18mm. I have used a spark plug thread chaser to clean up threads http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200396166_200396166

Just make sure to use pleanty of oil to keep it screwing up the threads anymore.

Thanks for the replies. Yeah, pretty much sucks. I've R&R'd O2s and AFR sensors a million times and never had an issue until today. Hopefully the bung isn't too jacked up. Seemed ok, though one thread looked a little suspicious. I couldn't see the other side because of the angle.

I ended up getting this one, simply because it's smaller (I have less clearance, because my O2s are right behind each turbo, near the front strut tower) and because I get free shipping through Amazon Prime.
