Wow it's getting really tense now huh?
This is not the first time the issue has occurred, you act like if the guy says he pushed the pedal to the floor you are going to say "ahh no wonder" and have some sort of moment of clarity all you are going to find out was how he drove it, which doesn't matter because he should be able to drive it how we are supposed to drive mustangs.

I'm glad he is open to answering questions but you aren't going to scientifically get anything out of it. I'll wait and see, till then let me take my 3v owning ass out of here before i get a caps lock busted on me.

get this through your brain so you can sleep at night...

NOBODY KNOWS 100% WHY AT THIS TIME. the answer will come eventually.

The bolded part says it all! You 5.0 boys that want us 3 valve owners out of here can keep speculating and blaming it on whatever you want. All I will say is :deadhorse: is not getting you anywhere except most likely pissing off the vendors that will most likely be the ones to figure it out since they do the tuning and will be the ones fixing the #8 issue. Pointing fingers gets you nowhere, especially when you don't have a fucking clue as to what you are talking about. SOme of you are just spewing a bunch of shit that you have already read so it adds less to the fucking topic than us pissant 3 valve owners.

Oh boy, the 5.0 guys are coming down from their Tower of Gods to warn the 3V guys to back off.

Wowowowowowowowwow. None of the 3V guys could possibly know what is happening to these 5.0's because they are so unique and godly and special.

There has been plenty of Off-topic posts from everyone, not just a specific crowd.

Last I checked, fdjizm has posted relevant information in the 3 dozen topics of 5.0 # 8 failures.

It's getting to the point where know one, including the all knowing 5.0 guys have found anything truly relevant to the failures.

It does appear, that this does not happen on Stock Cars. Only on modified cars.

LMFAO that's hilarious!

What's the title?
That's from "Kentucky Fried Movie" - a classic by the guys who later made "Airplane." It's a lot of comedy sketches strung together. The longest segment was a great spoof of "Enter the Dragon", called, "A Fistfull of Yen." Well worth watching.

OP- do you plan on having the dealership diagnose the problem or are you taking it somewhere else?

So obviously I'm freaked out now. I have a 2011 w/CAI, O/R H and tune from Torq. I'm new to data logging. Would it be safe to say if I datalog and AFR, timing and knock all look within spec I'm free and clear?

Just data log and send it to them. Don't get an internet diagnoses of your car, take it to your tuner and have them look at it. But do post the logs with the results from the tuner though. :)

So... If Brenspeed sold 600 Email tunes by the time of this thread, if each tune cam with a tuner they have made around $173K... If you take into account SCT's butt raping. So, they made even more than that if any percentage of those tunes were just email tunes and not with a device. Niccceee!!

^ help me out...how is this relevant to the the issue at hand?

Oh none at all. That said, almost no one in this thread so far has posted anything relevant. Almost like the other couple of threads on the issue. :hi:

I know more than a few 3v owners that now have forged shortblocks because shoddy tuning took out their stocker. So this is par for the course. The #7 on the termys would melt down too because of the bad cooling going to that cylinder. This is not new. And 3v owners just have experience behind their tunes. A 3 yearold with a comadore 64 could tune one of those.

That would explain why I'm able to do it, lol.
