Oh no! I hope it runs okay like that. Mine has been just fine for 3 years now Ron, and I'm pretty sure my thrust is also set at .005, although I'm on a manual.
Don't listen to these other assholes that are just pissed you didn't buy from them, so they are going to find fault in it somewhere.

You know Campbell's reputation now, and they wouldn't have been in this business for 30 years building junk.

arent the anti balooning plates i nthe converter supposed to prevent that?

Not saying this directly towards you build......just for future reference....

We have converter's with 1/8" thick ballooning plates on them and they come back ballooned...it happens....Not because the plate might not have held up, but maybe because the trans and converter got too hot, or was under more load then usual.....It happens....

Now, Ron, your build is awesome man!!

if i'm not mistaken u can change out the thrust washer on the rear main cap and depending on the block some have the thrust cleareance built into the bearing half and you could file it down to get your clearence right.

I certainly hope that wasn't directed at me. If so....bite me. I'm not pissed about anything and I could care less who he bought the shortblock from. Just an observation. I set them between .008" and .012".

Try to help and get ripped. Offer advice and nobody listens. Answer questions and answer is ignored. Fuck it. I quit.

Don't you think you got a little carried away if you even removed your pants?

The people posting in this thread don't give a shit who he bought from. They are simply trying to relay information to him. Hell, two of the people saying the clearance is too tight don't even build engines. So how the hell are they going to be pissed for him not buying from them? Your comment is bullshit and you should probably reconsider your wording.

And why is there a hole cut in the crotch?!

Good luck, Ron.

That's what I play my ice Hockey Games in. the hole in the crotch is from when they ripped after I made a split save. Ive had those sweat pants for 10 years and have played about 2000 games or so in them haha. Happy to say I have a very good record, about .700 win percentage

Hey Ron, I pulled out my blueprints and my crank endplay is 0.005", too. My rod side clearance is 0.010", though.

Running like a champ... so far. <ominous music>
