well first and formost ... thank you sactown for the blower and i can't believe you sold it..... i feel like i stole it from ya, lol.

i would also like to thank GB10, 05Stroker, S&H, E85... a many others that i've bothered with questions and will continue to bother during this build. lol

i'm puting a new motor and sactowns blower in the car and adding a waste gate and boost controller so i can use the boost lower in the RPM and limit the max boost.

so far i have a big bore stock stroke 5.0 at 11.5-1 that was built by the SD Wheeler.... this block was passed down this board a couple times before i got it and it was near used. i did have the short block taken apart and everything checked and balanced just to make sure everything was ok.

link to original sale thread... http://www.s197forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=70911

my heads are being ported and i'm using stock lash adjusters, stock followers, stock exhaust valves, SS intake valves, PAC springs, steel retainers, livernois lockouts, viton vavle stem seals, bronze guides.

cams are from bullet cams.... not sure of specs yet (open for input)
Cam profile suggested for 3.55 gears and good street manners with PAC spring and lock outs
@.050 duration intake 227 exhaust 243 lift 525 intake 525 exhaust LSA 114 CLA 110

i'll update as i buy items....

Ported heads to match cams
Cams 227in 243ex @.050 lift 525 in and ex 114 lsa

11.5 is right for Manley flat top pistons and stock stroke. 304 cubic inches with a 3.7" bore.

Looking forward to the build. It's going to be something special combining the F1 and and big bore boss. Do you remember if the pistons had valve reliefs?

i don't want to run e85. it's so hard to find. i'll run as much boost as i can for a while and upgrade late to e85.

plus, i'll need bigger fuel system for e85 and i'm not ready for that either. this build is more the i expected to do at this time. once my black car sells i'll be ready to do what the next step is in order to rech my goals. i've already bought much of what i need for my car because this motor was supposed to go into the black roush with a D1 and i wasn't going to boost it that much.... it was going to be a DD. that all changed so i'm trying to get the car going and change things as needed once rolling. i don't expect to really run high boost on 93, but i'm looking forward to see where what boost i can run with the meth.

just as a thought, what injectors etc is needed to get e85 to 700-800hp?

i don't think so but i haven't even seen the motor in person yet unpacked from shipping. i gave the motor to GB10 all packed up and he's checking all the tollerances and putting the long block together for me.

i'm just learnign as i go... which means i'm going to messing up and spending more money in the end, but i do like doing things outside the box. that's why i said F1R and high compression OK!!! lol

I guess you could keep the boost down and the timing super low and be okay on 93 Oct. I would find some on line calculations to see where to start. Are you going to run strait meth or 50/50?

Make sure you know what the piston to valve clearance is going to be before ordering cams. This is why I asked if there were valve reliefs in the pistons.
