I think this is common sense (no being the answer) but I need to ask as one of my friends are insisting it will make a 5-10 HP increase which I doubt.
I know the 2013 5.0L makes like 400-ish BHP on regular 87 octane. Now on the 91 octane it goes to 420 BHP. Here is my question, on the east coast we have 93 octane so right away all ready 2 octane better then factory says. My friend is telling me putting Lucas octane boost which is 10 points which is 1 octane ratting is going to tack on another 5 HP or so on a stock 5.0L. Basically I will be running 94 octane. Does the stock computer have that much range will it increase the timing and ultimately horse power?
