Stupid Midwest Weather...

Got hit with a tornado without any warning. Yes, we have garage...but storm came up so quickly that by the time we got the keys to pull the car in it was too late.

The worst spot

Most of the hail was this size or larger

Other car I'll have to likely fix on my own since it's not full coverage, but being 17 yrs old it faired the best

5 cars in the driveway and all look like Swiss cheese, 2 have busted windows. Sucks sitting in your garage with the door open watching your stuff get trashed!!!

Darn weathermen kept saying a "chance of spotty showers" all day long, we got our tornado warning 5-10 mins after the storm had passed!!!

I'm not gonna lie, I probably would've pulled my car outside the garage. My paint looks bad enough as it is, might as well have it redone.

Edit: Good luck getting it fixed, hope your insurance will replace it all with better parts!

Yep, about 15 mins east of down town!

Called and filed claim today, they said its considered undrivable since the windshield is shattered. At least 2 days before an adjuster can get out. Called on house roof, gonna take 4 days for adjuster to come out on that...so much damage all around.

Man, I HATE seeing stuff like this! I'm so sorry about the damage. Glad nobody was hurt though, that golfball sized hail would knock a hole in a cranium!!!! WOW!!!

Actually, having the house roof done cause of the storm is a $$$$ blessing.

My car was in the garage luckily. I can't say the same about my wife's.. that thing got pummeled. We have quite a bit of broken siding and probably roof damage. You've got some pretty extensive damage there.. hope everything turns out well for you.

It just really sucks cause we watched the whole thing and couldn't do anything about it. And...the Mustang just got back from the body shop after a drunk driving incident

House roof=$10k
Mustang=$5k (if we need more insurance will cover repair)

My friend's new Cruze got $6k, other 3 cars that were at my house have not been claimed. Turned out to be one expensive BBQ party! lol

So car finally went into the body shop a few weeks ago. Crazy how backed up all the shops in the area still are from this storm.

Damage was a lot more then original estimate. Car is getting a whole new roof on it. Should be in paint shop now and I will hopefully have it back on Friday.
