15MB is the limit for everyone. I suggest you delete about 10MB of Hasselhof pics.
I thought I saw a note about a higher limit for "donors" (and not the sperm kind)...

$105 huh? I don't know about you, but for $105, I'd look at getting some more bang/buck with some nice pretty SS braided lines... I know you can get the adapter for the trans side (got one to adapt my McLeod slave), but not sure what to do about mating up to the plastic housing on the master cylinder...

Oh well, don't worry about it - just bend over and get the ford one - less thinking required... you might call around to the various shops to see if anyone did a manual->auto swap and has one removed...

This is Bullshit!

I cant believe all the fu@king hell I have to go through over this car! (other then Doug)....IT never ends and the sad thing about it is, it's other people. I have been pretty much F'ed over by everyone I have gone too and here we go again.

First some semi good news. I have been working with BAR on the issue of MMR and their so called new block they over bored. They told me I had a case and that after talking to all the contacts I provided that they were (and did) go pay them a visit. I heard he just got back, but have not heard anything yet. The other option is to call visa and get the money back, but I wanted to try this first since I just want enough to cover the bock and extras I had to pay for. For people that have really been screwed these are options you can use for free. In the long run I might not get anything back.. but they will all know my name!

Now for the current unreliable problem. The car was rebuilt with new block 9.2:1 comp Ross pistons and rings, clevite H-series rod and main bearings etc. I was giving a base tune and told to drive 500 miles at no higher then 3K and very rpm.. I did that and had an oil change at 500 miles and when they were free to take the car back I racked up 1321 miles on it. They took it in this week and did a comp/ leak on the new engine and came up with this..

NEW LEAK DOWN w/ NEW Rebuilt engine


Compression | Leak Down
#1= 160 11%
#2= 165 7%
#3= 165 8%
#4= 155 15%
#5= 166 8%
#6= 170 7%
#7= 166 9%
#8= 168 8%



This is the leak down when I decided to rebuild it!

Leak Down: test with 99psi
Cylinder:

#1 = 6%
#2 = 7%
#3 = 6%
#4 = 6%
#5 = 15%
#6 = 17%
#7 = 10%
#8 = 18%
Compression:
#1 = 215
#2 = 205
#3 = 210
#4 = 210
#5 = 180
#6 = 180
#7 = 190
#8 = 175

I dont know how or why the % are so high on a new engine?!?! ITs just as messed up as when I brought it there? They swapped out all of the spark plugs (old ones only had 2K miles on them!) and told me to drive it another 500 miles and this time I can go up to 4K rpm.. Can someone please tell me wft is going on?

1.) Does replacing spark plugs after 2K miles on them really matter? or is it a squeeze more money out of this chump

2.) On a new engine what are the average % the cylinders should be?

3.) If the rings are not seated after 1321 miles then will 500 more miles matter?

4) the engine builder took a scope and everything looked fine.. does anyone have any ideals?

5) is it too later to turn gay buy a prius and move to San Fran? :tdown:

I just hope I dont have to go through engine #4 before engine #3 gets tuned... my gowd I only have 16K miles TOTAL on the car.. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I would not be concerned about those numbers the rings probably have not set yet....I would say at least 2-3k before they take a set. Then do a compression check.

The spark plug thing is questionable at best.

2-3k for rings to set? Hummm I thought 500 was more then needed. I hope your right. It sounded like this is the first time seeing something like this as if all others were ok after 500. Goes I hope it gets better

IMO, the rings won't set if you baby it. Adam just refreshed my motor, put about 300 "aggressive" street miles on it (plus dyno time), changed the oil, and then took it to the 1/8-mi track last night. Right out of the box, it ripped off three 6-sec runs.

Don, do you have your leak down #? Does anyone else? I'm trying to see how far off I am. I also hear about beating it up a little, but I have to do it their way. If it's f'ed up then it's all on them. We will see.

I got my car back after the final dyno tune and leak down test. From what I was told the leak down is much better and at 6-7% like the other cylinders.

now for the fun parts that dont make since. With 13#'s of boost from the procharger I'm making a whopping 473rwhp from the dynamometer and 462 max hp. with a/f from 11.5-8 . I was expecting somewhere 500+ easily with that much boost. He told me that my compression is keeping it down.. but I'm only at 9.2:1... so why so low? I dont know if he is right or gave me a baby tune since I had him rebuild everything and tune it so if anything happens it would go to him. I dont know. Also it looks like my power doesent climb after 5600 which doesn't make since for a centi.. :idea:

Also in tradition of my luck he let me leave with a check engine light that was not there when I gave him the car after the base tune.. he told me its some o2 issues.. I told him I changed both of those 2 months ago. Tired and broke I went home with my check engine light and ran the code yesterday and its.... guess.... its.. the p151A code cekim loves!! haha.. here we go again!! :bs:

Let me Start this post by adding FORCEFED PERFORMANCE ( in Sacramento,Ca) to the list of F@cked up shops that have screwed me over. Every time I went there I felt like I was getting Bent over... and I was. After telling him and showing him the hell I went through with other people I thought he would put the time in to do the job right. I paid and didn't complain( except when he added 500 bucks on TOP of installing everything back as if he didnt know it was supercharge. (even though he's messed with the engine twice before.) He was nice enough to to cut that rape job to $250 on top:tdown: . I knew I should have been woried when I told him many times the stock therm was 180 and he kept telling me no. On top of the ton of greasy finger prints and Letting me leave with a check engine light (which is F'ing amazing for a tuner to do EVER). Stanly and I have found out more information. The sad fact to all this is the same.. Most tuners dont give a shit.. Many are not your friend and we are just cash cows and I'm for one is sick of it. Keth is smart like the others.. but if you dont research a little on the car your working on or LISTEN to the owner then what good is it?

Yesterday, Stanly and I hooked a "working" boost guage to my car and did some runs. According to the guage we hit 15lbs in 2nd and 3rd gear at WOT. So I'm really at 470rwhp @ 15psi?!?!?! ( I know Dons laughing his azz off now. First I was at 600hp and doing low 12's and now I will be at 15psi.......doing low 12's!! :wtf:.. I cant win. )

Also, I told Forcefed a couple of times to change the gap of the plugs and since they replaced ALL of them and some a few times! I went to pull a few plugs.. They were all at stock gap of .045!! I'm running 15psi with .045 gap?? I even told them just before the final tune!..They told me not to worry and they will do that before the tune.. Another F'up!

Anyway, Stanly was nice enough to scan my dyno sheets for me. ITs cool.. you can see the procharger lose power with rpm. I'm sure glad I spent all that money for a sub par car.. Thanks ForceFed :thumb:

Wow, your power is basically unchanged from 5600 rpm on up. With a centri I thought the power would just keep climbing. Something wrong there. 474 rwhp at 5600 aint to bad, but you should be easily over 520+ at 6500 rpm.

The car doesn't seem to be running out of fuel because your a/f is right. Try gapping the plugs at .30---maybe your getting some spark blow out with the stock gap at the higher rpm ranges? Is your VCT working? If locked out do you know how the cams were degreed in? (full advance perhaps)

centris are supposed keep pulling and making more power with RPM, that dyno charts looks like no centri I've ever seen.

Ted - I feel badly for your continued troubles! best in getting it worked out.

I believe the VCT is lock out do to the ford racing block witch is a mach 03/04 block. Your right about the power levels at high rpm.. I never seen crap work like this before. I can only assume that he kept it soooo safe since they rebuilt the motor and tune.. so "if" anything would happen he knows it would go back to them. Not exactly what I was planning when buying a Forged block that can handle 1K hp
