If i did ttaid in or sell i would buy the car out right. No more car payments for me

If you can find the right buyer then sure. That makes it a little easier to justify (IMO) however I still bet you'll end up spending more overall. How far are you from 10s right now with what you have?

Honestly idk. This is the second built motor. First one got fried at the track asshole gas station filled me up with 91 oct didnt know until it was to late

Well here is some rocket science advise before you blow your 3V up trying to make it 5.0 fast.

Go test drive a 5.0. You like it? Buy it. You don't like it? Keep your 3V.

Think you'll ever go FI with the 5.0? I thought you wanted 10s. Same thing could just happen again.

EDIT: Flanagan seriously are you just fucking with us? Seems to me like you're mind is pretty much made up now. Do you just need someone to talk you into this?

Feelings can be deceptive. You don't even know what it traps as it sits right? Like I said - people have gone 10s with the same power you have and on the stock 3v sb.

My friend has an 08 STI stage 2. Probably guessing 300-330 AWHP. That car feels just as fast as mine does. It pulls good. Do you honestly think it's faster than a 450whp mustang?
What i am somewhat trying to get at were their anyone who had a semi built 3v and traded it in and had no regrets?
Keep in mind people always have a tendency to justify big purchases they can't easily back out of as "worth it". I'm not saying they are liars but just keep that part of human nature in mind.

well I did... :LMAO:

but I went from a 460 whp 118-119 trap car to a 775 whp 139-140 trap car. And at probably a bigger price difference than you would be from yours to a 2013

A big nothing i believe atco my closest track is shut down for the winter or i would be up their lol. Seriosly idk on this motor. The last built motor had the same specs as this one and i only had one pass and in the passed burnt holes right through my diamond pistons smh i believe it was like 109 on a hurt motor and bald ass stock tires lol

sorry to be harsh... but WTF are you talking bout with how fast the car is if you've never made a good pass on it?

Atco usually opens in Feb. IMO, wait till then (or take a road trip south) see what it will do at the track?

my 06 ran 11.49 @ 121 at 3900 ish lbs with probably 475 to the tire and 18" rears and 17" cut down OEM fronts

I bet yours with 12-14 psi would be an easy 10second ride if you can drive it.

No offense intended to him but this is another reason I questioned whether the OP was even really serious about maybe keeping the car. :stooges:

Lol not all. And ur right about making a pass. Lol plus my semi pass was down in tx at the time. I think what is getting me with these times was down in tx i would see all these 5.0s with just a blower pumping out around 630 and making mid to high 10 passes

No offense intended to him but this is another reason I questioned whether the OP was even really serious about maybe keeping the car. :stooges:

I understand ur skeptisism, but i am on the fence its practically 50/50

well bottom line - will a 5.0 with a blower be faster than your car? Yes

However at what cost is that worth it to you?

Off the cuff, you get 20K for yours, pay 28K for 5.0 (guess)

cost $8000

add blower for 5.0 plus some suspension upgrades

$5500-7000 (?) depending on kit

assuming all work done by owner:

$13,500 - 15,000 costs to gain .2-.5 of a second?

IMO - gotta make a few passes and see what the car does first.

I'm always watching the market and running numbers in my mind. I'd be lucky to get 15-18K for this car is it sits. Would end up costing another 10 over that to get into a newish one. And another 6-8K for a blower on top of that. And it still wouldn't be forged. The longer I hold on to this boat the more married to it I seem to be getting.

Blowing it up before making it 5.0 fast? Shut the fuck up, like you are in a position to give somebody advice about a car they don't even drive.

Lol. The big issue with mine as it sits is the god damn oil pump that i was to cheap to replace when the motor went in. Now i have a melling but its gonna cost me a nut to put in since the motor is in the car. I think thats one of the reason i kinda wanna unload this bitch. I really cant up the boost knowing i have that stock pos in the car smh
