Here are some videos from this weekend at Firebird West Track with ProAutoSports/ASA Racing...more to come later this week after I download/edit.

First one is the rearview camera from the Saturday Main race.
Skip to 1:05 for race start

Started mid-pack, 2nd out of 3 in class (Blue #22 car is 3rd car in class, putting down another 100hp at the wheels vs. me ). I finished 2nd in class.

In-car footage from that same race

Qualifying Race start:

What kind of supercharger are you running? I can hear the S/C whine when you hit the straights. Looks like a tough road course to make passes on - good run!

Man, it has to be hard to get traction with all that sand/dust getting kicked up onto the track. I would like to know what those other cars have in the way of power, they seem just as quick.

M90. The car I'm running is essentially a Roush 427R Track Pack, gutted w/ a cage. Not the car in my signature.

The track is 1.1 miles, very technical. Not necessarily friendly to high-HP cars.

Yeah, the dust was a real PITA, the Friday practice day was like drift school, lol.

That Vette was putting down 650 to the tires, running sub 1-min laps! There is a wide spread of HP in the classes we run combined on the track at once; anything from an 800hp stock car down to a 100hp RX7. Makes for some interesting passing when you've got to deal with slower traffic and faster traffic plus fend for your own position in class.

I'll post some vids from today (Sunday) later this week...ran a great qualifying race, but in the feature race my hood apparently wasn't completely shut and popped open at the start! :damnit: Fortunately the factory latch kept it from smashing the windshield. Time for hood pins; I have them on my street car but not on our racer...lol.

I had to come into the hot pits and have it slammed shut again, but that took me from my 7th place starting position all the way to dead-last in 17th. I managed to stay on the lead lap and finish 11th overall, 3rd of 3 in class

Badass footage man!! I would love to get into this, but as a kid w/ the stang as a DD it isn't going to happen. As much as i would love for it to, i get scared of how close the cars are together- if you get a bad driver in the bunch your screwed lol..

I would love to build a car specifically for a road course when i am out of college. Keep the good footy coming!
