What is it with Vendors

I ordered a intercooler tank for the trunk from Spanktime Performance on March 18/09.Adam did call me for my email so he could bill me etc on April 14.I have not recieved a email from him yet!
I have called 3 times since,left messages,talked to John,still nothing.
Now i am going to mis NMRA with the car in Atco May 15/09.Thanks guys!
Why can't vendors just say we are to busy or not interested in doing that,i would respect there honesty & not be so pissed.Now i am mad & upset,pissed off etc.
Vendors be up front,it will save everyone time,money,long distance calls,frustation, & write ups about how they can take the order but can't produce the goods.
Now i am running hotter than my car!!!!!!!! errrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

And for what it's worth, I feel your pain and understand. Not so much from a board vendor point of view, but from a local vendor. I know ST had a long standing history of "being really busy and hard to get in touch with" but there does come a time when that excuse wears thin and just makes things not worth the effort. Again, I am going through that same thing. Just with a local shop.

When a company sees a problem,they should fix it not hide from it,because one day they will not be busy.

Adam at ST has started B.S people about how long things will take , He told me he could turn around a shortblock in two weeks ! come to find out there were four people in front of me that have been waiting over a month !

I wont use him just for that reason !

I just talked to John he is shipping the tank out on Wed AM,3 day UPS,lets wait & see.I will give them this last chance.I will keep you posted of the results.
Sometimes the most profitable word you can say is no,learned this from some older wiser men in my industry.

This isn't a one-hour oil change place we're talking about. It's a high performance shop that deals in a lot of one-off stuff. Comes with the territory as far as I'm concerned.

If getting jerked around comes with the territory,then they should warn or tell us.
If told 2-3 weeks,we belive what we are told,give or take a couple of days,not 6 weeks later & 9 phone calls.He should not offer completion dates then or hire more people or turn down the work & suggest someone else as i do in my business.
I prefer honesty in business over everything else.
Anyway its on its way today,so says John if they keep there word.

I think its everybody right now, I ordered a tial bov and it took 5 week to get because they were on back order, and now i found out pression is backed up and my new 76mm turbo will take about 2 1/2 - 3 weeks to get here....

I recieved a phone call from Atom today,my coolant tank is shipped.
We had a very long & productive conversation about business.
Basically he got jerked around & it snowballed from there.
He apologized for the long delay,gave me some good advice for my car.
I hope to meet him someday & i will use him again if necessary.

I feel your pain. Still working on getting a tune I ordered and paid for about 3 weeks ago. It doesn't help that I've been busy as all hell and don't get the chance to call during business hours. I have a friend that is deployed and trying to get stuff arranged through email because that is the only communication he has, and some really well known and respected vendors are not answering his emails. I know he has the money sitting in a bank account ready to go. This is just another reason why I want to learn to do as much on my car myself as I can, no one else is ever going to be as reliable as you yourself are going to be getting your project off the ground.

Sad part is that most of us probably try to give the benefit of the doubt, be understanding, bla bla bla. And all that does is get us fucked deeper. The local shop I deal with has become a complete friggin joke. You can't get shit accomplished on the phone. You never get a return call if you leave a message. If you go up there plan on spending the day even if you have an appointment. Plus it is getting to the point that the quality of the work is suffering. I finally said fuck it and went with a tune from someone out of state. And go figure, it takes weeks after paying to get the fucking tune or get an adjustment to it. But you know what.. I am still going to give everyone the benefit of the doubt. I realize the world doesn't stop for me. That they are busy. There are plenty of people in the exact same situation as I am. That getting bent out of shape over it isn't going to do a damn thing to help... and I am still going to get jacked around. So what the hell can you do? Nothing......

I had to go out of state for the tune too. At least they answer the phone, but I've been given 6 different times when my tune would be emailed to me, tonight being the latest, and still no tune. I paid for my tunes almost a month ago, and even got a different MAF so I can't even move my car till I get the new tunes because the old one isn't going to work with the BA2400.

I hear you. I'm tired of getting bent over, but there is nothing I can do but hope or just give up on all this crap.
