Yeah I have no good excuse. I didn't make the connection in the post. Something about 4 hours of sleep last night and not enough coffee.

Would this be good on a car with spray? Would the launch control mess with my window switch?

ok, I need help, i'm done with all the wiring except for the pair of red and black wires, it says to cut (two) wires on D5 of the bussed connector I am pretty sure it's the two wires on the 5th pin but on a pin one down and to the left there is another pair of red wires. so which one is it?

I am currently staring at whats under the green cover. anyone? I think it' would be the 5th pin logically but then u have a clone of those two almost behind it!? bugging me out.

OH BOY... that's where I am right NOW! fdjizm... I'm confused. Do you cut the two wires coming outta the connector and attach the red WOTbox wire to BOTH? and then connect the black WOTbox wire to BOTH the other ends that go to the loom?

I tried that & the car won't start... how messed up am I?

Not that far off, cut the two fatter pair of red wires on that little tan box thing, snip them don't splice them. connect the pair of red wires that goes back to the wire harness to the black wire of the black and red pair stuck together, and connect the other side you cut to the red wire of the black and red pair of the wotbox, the wotbox should be the only thing connecting those wires to the car.

here is a professional schematic i drew for you if that doesn't make sense.

the wotbox goes between there not spliced into there, so you are connecting the two red wires to the one wire of the wotbox on each side.

I just installed my WOTBOX this past Thursday and I looked at the lid of the fuse box cover to match up the location. The instructions say it's fuse 42 for a '05-'06 stang and fuse 40 for '07-09. Looking at that helped me figure it out but I do remember that they were the thickest red wires.

OK - that's what I did - but maybe my connections weren't good... I'm pretty sure I've got the correct pair of red wires; they were under the green cover & more near the center of the tan connector. The other pair of red wires were near the edge... didn't notice one pair being fatter than the other.

Now before I go, I'll add that my car is 2006 V8 & I've connected the...

GREEN WOT Box Wire
to the WHITE wire on pin 30 of the TOP connector

BLUE WOT Box Wire
to the WHITE wire on pin 17 of the MIDDLE CONNECTOR

YELLOW WOT Box Wire
to the BLACK/PINK wire on pin 47 of the BOTTOM CONNECTOR.

Now I'm going to connect the pair of red wires as directed by your diagram above!

Hope it all works... electrical wiring is not my strong point.

SUCCESS!... I guess my "clip-on" connections were faulty. Once I SOLDERED each pair of fat red wire to the appropriate red or black WOTbox wires, it fired right up & when I tested WOT shifting it worked like magic! Holy shit that's a scary moment when you first try it!

Thanks guys... great to have your help!

P.S. - Unfortunately my Raptor shift light must be on that same pair of red wires, because it lights up after each shift, which defeats the shift light... going to have to fix that now.

I wish there was a better way to wire this up, like maybe a plug-in that the harnesses connect into. It doesn't help that the instructions suck.

Did you guys install any PC drivers, other than the user interface program? Their web site says to look for numbers stamped into the USB/serial connector, but of course mine doesn't have any.

Ray the numbers are molded into the plastic at the end of the cable... you sure you don't have it? I'm just setting up the software to program the unit from my laptop, I downloaded the driver assigned to my cable number - it hasn't automatically come on when I connected the laptop so I must be missing something... good luck with yours.

Dragin...if your saying that the wotbox hasn't come on when you connect it to your laptop it won't. It's not powered by that cable, you need to turn your key to the on position so the wotbox light comes on, then you can program it with your laptop.
