I always just change mine by pressing in the clutch and holding down the little black button, it only takes a minute or so. I don't even use the shift light part of it.

When you guys are at the track, when do you start the 2 step, Ive tried it twice now after both cars are staged, but it seems like that is to long and it fouls the plugs.

when i see the first light start to drop, then i look at my boost gauge and regardless of how long the light has been green i drop the hammer when the boost egst where i want it,i just ignore the green light.........

How often do you think you will need to change it? It should really only take one time to know where you want to launch and what rpm you want a shift light at.

It all depends on if I'm doing a test and tune night or an event since at the events I can't use the 2-step. Also I sometimes change it when I'm on my street tires vs my race tires.

Good point - nobody really talks about HOW LONG to hold the 2-step before launching.

I start my two-step the INSTANT the first amber light comes on...so it's like a count of one, two, three - GO! It seems to work, I got a 60' time of 1.609 yesterday, but I admit, I'm not looking at the boost gauge...it's probably slightly different each time I launch, depending on my reaction time. On that run, I didn't exactly "cut the light" RT was 0.821 LOL! Launch RPM = 4000.

I'd like to run a data log next Spring (yesterday was the last race day of 2010 for me) and check out all the important parameters - knowing that stuff would help me be more consistent.

Ok Installed the WOT Box today. Install went smooth took about 2 hours. Had to re-read a couple parts in the directions but got it all figured out. I did the post install tests that are outlined int he directions and everything worked except I couldnt get the 2-step to engage.

Tried 3 times to get the 2-step to work, and i was going wot everytime, but no go...

So went out to test the no lift shift feature :). First i tried it in a higher gear at a low rpm and it did its thing, Was scared and shocked the first time. It really is easy as crap and worked. Did that a few times, and then next up was to try an in boost no lift shift. Took 2nd gear to 5,000 rpms and power shifted third, and damn was that a kick in the ass after the shift, no boost loss just full power through the shift. Works awesome with the turbo! Love it.

Now i need to get the damn 2-step to work! What are some tips for getting it work?
Also I dont have a laptop so I will have to adjust it through the box. I read how to do it but havent tried it yet.
I want to check that out to make sure it is in fact set, and maybe set the rpm lower till i can get it to engage, so Im not revving so high when it doesnt work. Do I have to hold down the button on the box before I start the car? And then how do the settings change while I am holding down the button? Do I just keep holding the button and wait for blinks?

What are the options in the software I remember my two step didn't work at first and I had to uncheck some other option in there. nvm just read you don't have a laptop that blinking thing is going to suck for you! lol and the bxo is on by default if you want to turn it off, start your car and press the button once.

glad you like it!, it's a beast of a little box isn't it!

Are you sure you have it enabled in the software? IIRC, it is set to off by default.

You obviously have your clutch wire hooked up correctly, since it works properly with the shifting. Are you sure you're pressing the clutch pedal all the way down, then flooring it?

Yeah i gathered that, press it once for on/off and light goes on/off repectively. Just trying to use the light to make sure the 2-step is on. The directions say start the car push down the clutch and hold the button to adjust the 2-step rpm based on the number of blinks, you can set to zero blinks to turn it off, etc.

But i briefly tried holding down the button with the car running and i wasnt getting blinks... so not sure if im doing it right.

The directions say default is enabled, set to 4,000 rpms.

Yeap clutch all the way to the floor car is at idle. Then i stab the throttle to the floor and no go. Thought maybe i wasn't pushing the gas fast enough so tried it 2 more times going wot as fast as i could, but still no luck. Is there a time limit from when i push in the clutch to when i need to go wot? I dont think so because i would need time to stage with the clutch in, in first gear, then at the amber go wot 2 enable.

I am also pretty sure everything is hooked up correctly like you said, because all the other clutch/gas tests and wot shift work.

Hope ist not a software issue, as im going to the track tommorow lol and would like to try the 2-step, but if not no biggie.

Thanks guys. Guess no 2-step or building boost at the line for me for now. Since im headed to the 1/4 mile tommorow morning. Cant wait to see what it will do though! I will just have to launch it n/a and try not to bog the drag radials, which is fine, I could use the practtice!

Based on this, im not even going to fool around with the blinks till i can play with the software and do it right.

Now im looking through all these posts to see what drivers and software I need to download.
