He is still on the Stock coyote longblock with bolt ons...he has recently purchased a lightweight clutch and flywheel combo from ACT to replace to stock setup... I think he still hasn't gone any deeper than 10.75-10.80s

Still working on getting the car dialed in the last I seen

I am in the process of putting a coyote in an 05 GT.... I looked through this thread but did not find the answer to my biggest question....

Will the stock 3v computer work (obviously with a new flash, maybe even a reflash from ford?) or do I need to get the race pack that includes computer/etc from FRPP?

The Emperor is back!!!!!

Yes, and I just JUST finished reading thru the entire thread, and even saw the post where somebody else asks about the computer and he replies and said he already posted but but I just literally read the whole thing and missed it!!!!

Please somebody be so kind as to link me or post number if you happen to remember? It seems the control pack is required, but I am wondering what the options for stock cluster gauges are and if there is any hope of using the 3v ECU and getting a reflash.

The 3v computer does not have the necessary programing required to operate the 4v coyote's TiVCT, and thats just a basic hang up. Hell the 5.0 comes with wideband O2s from the factory for gods sake... The Coyote engine operates on the Copperhead OS and is completely different than the 3v's Spanish Oak and far more complex. The 3v ECM would have a herp derp moment and shit itself if it attempted to run a Coyote. So no, a reflash would definately not do the trick. Couldn't give you an answer as far as making the gauges workable though...

I can not possibly read though this whole thread. I just want to know what else is needed to make the 5.0 work in a 06 GT. So you need the control pack. And what else besides the motor? Do you need anything steering related? Please help guys lol

read it. its worth it because unless you already know how to handle it there is going to be a few other snag your going to run into. that is why we have these threads to help others. and to be honest i would rather read 40 whatever pages from a guy who did it more than successfully than to ask someone who might have read it and possibly give you wrong info.

You're willing to take on a project like that, but not do the research to do it right? Have fun with your build, lol. Seriously though, read the whole thing, it's packed full of information you WILL need.

Maybe because I was just asking a question. He is also doing stuff that not everyone would need to do. The fuel system, the evap, the K-member. Is all that needed for a simple swap?

No, it's not all that's needed. Read the thread.

Just scan through it and read Matt D's Post! That should be a good start for you. I read the complete post and it is worth the time. BTW it is not a ( simple swap ) that is why you need to read it if you are serous about it. Come on get real. Why would some one read the post, just to make you a list of parts.

If you really feel you were being "attacked", you should probably get out of this hobby.

If you don't have an hour to look through 47 pages, then you don't have the time to take on a project like this. It's really that simple. Your end results will be about as good as the effort you put into it. You want someone else to take the time to tell you how to do it, but you won't spend your own time looking through a thread that already details what you're looking for.
