Finally got around to a dyno run on the car. Keep in mind, this is only 7.5psi on the stock engine.

A few notes:
- Peak boost is at around 3700 rpm, which is fine by me.
- The shop's MAP sensor says 8.x psi, but I'm pretty sure it's not correct. The wastegates are set up with 7.5 springs and my digital boost gauge shows anywhere from 7.5 to 7.6 psi at WOT.
- AFR is pig rich at around 10.4. Hoping for another 25-50 hp when the AFR is closer to 12.

dont think ive ever seen a tt 5.4. sounds nice. low boost and able to get 550 nice!

Def needs some tuning that tq starts nose diving there and the power starts to follow suit.

Yeah... Still trying to figure that out. My initial thought was the rich AFR, which the dyno also thought, but I'm also worried about the turbo config.

Up for ideas/suggestions.

ive never understood what SAE numbers mean.....my dyno says 1.01, your is 1.29.....twat is that in referance too? i know there are corrections involved but dont know much about them...

Thats the correction factor applied. It's the difference between sae ideal conditions and your actual conditions. The conditions are based on weather and altitude.
To get the numbers made on that day divide the corrected number by the correction factor. I'd imagine that 1.29 correction factor is due to the altitude in CO.

He's 100% right. I'm at a 6400ft altitude.

I have a custom built MMR 1000 short block sitting in the garage. I'm just waiting for my stage 3 heads and custom turbo cams from JPC. They should be done next week. Once that is in, I'll use a boost controller (still undecided) to raise the boost enough to dial in 1000 RWHP on the dyno. I won't be able to use that at the track, since my rear and suspension isn't set up right. I'll be going with a fully built 8.8" JPC rear end with 3.73 gears and a Detroit TrueTrac, along with all the other beefy things to make it stand up to the abuse at the track. I opted to not get the heavier 9" rear after a long talk with Justin...

For the street, I'm looking for 600 or so RWHP. I'm hoping once I get the power drop on that dyno sheet fixed, as well as the new heads and cams, I should be at around 600 anyways. So I'll probably keep the 7.5lb springs and use the boost controller at the track.

That is awesome, glad to see it on the dyno- get the tune figured out and rip it down the strip!

There's just something about the looks of a twin turbo that can't be beat by ANY other power adder. Popping the hood with twins staring at you would be amazing.

Can we get better pics of the engine bay with your twins?

To add to what BruceH said.

If not used (the correction) it would have only shown a dismal 396 (actual). The things is that the correction "overcorrects" on FI cars.

so who picks the correction factor? tuner or dyno software?

Don't know on a dynojet, on my dynapack you only choose the correction method you want to use and it applies the specific formula, dyno has a weather station where it measures bp, temp and humidity and record it for every single rpm entry, then correction gets applied depending on measured data.

Pretty sure the system does it by itself, the difference I think is that in dynapack if conditions vary throughout the run they get registered and a different CF gets used, in the dynojet I think is fixed for each run (no biggie there).

In your location I think you may even get to apply a lesser than one correction (by conditions being better than STP)
