Darren, you realize the 10 and up cars are larger than 05-09 so the term pig would be more suited for the 1970's sized boats you all brag about because it has a 5. number 8 might blow in it.

If you're going to trade it in let me swap you my stock short block first. lol

I had thought about this and I don't even have a blower. My car runs 12.50s in good air NA. I bracket race and to think about having to learn a new car all over again and get it setup right just doesn't sound appealing to me. I plan to keep my car for a long while.

Like others have said, something new and better is always going to come out whether it be a car or a damn phone these days. If you are able to afford it and want a 5.0 then what's the hold up?

Good luck and don't forget about our deal on the motor swap before you trade it in.

I threw out a similar thread. I'm staying put with mine, too much invested. I'm adding some ceramic coated headers and fixing some powder coating issues just to clean up the engine bay. Money is an issue for me with my daughter going to college soon, if it's not a problem go buy a 5.0, or wait to see what the 2015 look like so you can be the new kid on the block.

Good choice!:hi:

Now you just need a 3.4 pulley and some meth and that will keep the smile on your face for a while till you are ready to upgrade the blower.

Oh and then we can both go get a 15' to replace our cars!

Oh and for the intake see if you can find a used SM JPC or cast unicorn unit.

I didn't read through the whole thread, but like others have said, you've got the hard part done (built block).

When I had a ProCharger, the best thing I ever did was swap the P1 for the D1. The same size pulley you're running on the P1 should net you about 4 more psi, plus it sounds more badass, and has a better torque curve.

The only problem is that it's not a cheap swap. ATI charges an arm and a leg, and also sometimes (seems to be hit or miss) requires you to have the larger 3-core FMIC.

It is so worth it, though. You'll love it.

My 3.9 that made 12 psi with my P1 makes 27 psi on the F1a! LOL

Hmmm i thought it was like 3500 i might have to consider it lol

I seem to remember it being $2500 for the udgrade. I might have paid that for the head unit though and still needed the bracket. The bracket you have will work with the D1 and you can hit 700 rwhp with a D1.

The F1 would be awesome. I think there is a version ATI can put together that will work with the P1/D1 bracket. Maybe that is the F1a?
