Jason is running two heat exchangers and two 55gpm water pumps for the supercharger. The cooler the coolant is, the more heat it will pull out of the pressurized air passing through the intercooler and the cooler the air is when it makes it to the combustion chamber. Cooler air males more power. When you're running a giant twin screw supercharger like he is cooling is of the utmost importance.

A heat exchanger is a radiator. And a radiator is a heat exchanger. An intercooler is a heat exchanger/radiator too. It’s an accepted terminology thing.

When a heat exchanger is used to keep a motor cool it is commonly referred to as a radiator.

In hot rod circles when it is used to keep a blower cool and placed in the front or back of the car it is a heat exchanger.

When it is in the manifold/under the blower it is called an intercooler.

I guess I just worded it wrong, I meant I knew what one was... just not what it was being used for ;)

What you were looking for was "as if" instead of "and." lol

"...AS if I didn't know what a heat exchanger is..."

Some serious building going on in this thread.

Is this in reference to me?

I screwed that up. For some reason I thought Roadracer350's screen name was FR500GT. Probably the avatar.....or I have been huffing too many fumes.:naughty1:

I was trying to give Roadracer350 a hard time, not you.

Looks like Ford Racing knows how to do a flat underbody too.

This is the Thunderbirds car they're auctioning off at Oshkosh this year.

That car is badass! Only problem is are those rivets or screws? I would imagine screws but its hard to tell
Also the side view looks like from the rear air could still get in. Did they put this on as an afterthought or am I wrong?

I would like to think this is a proof of concept for a flat under-body on the 2015 mustang. I mean the damn Fusion has it, why not their halo car! Unfortunately the mustang always gets the new tech late in the development cycle because your average mustang buyer only cares about HP and quarter mile times.

So apparently Creations N' Chrome did the work on this car. TS designs did the widebody; same guy who did the Need for Speed movie car. I've asked for more pics of the underside on Creations N' Chrome's facebook page so we'll see what they put up.

EDIT:
No new pics yet, but they did tell me they'll be offering the whole belly pan in kit form for $899.00 soon.
