ok i am running a P1SC1 @ 10 psi .
i understand that if i stay @ stock 9.8.1 i am gold and i understand
that if i lower the ratio to say 8.8.1 i can run more boost with no issues .
now i am looking @ the ford racing M6009-B53 @ 10.5 to 1 using my stock heads can anyone tell me what that is going to do @ 10 or 11 psi , i think i will lose low end but i am getting confused ?
i can not get my tuning guy to friggin answer the phone .
TIA,
Jim.

Go high compression and same boost but make damn sure your tune is spot on.

What is your fuel type and desired boost level/power goal and purpose for the car that will govern more what compression to choose. In general you can run more boost safely at lower compression on said fuel as your effective compression (static compression plus boost pressure) is lower for knock/detonation resistance.

If you want a safe street car go stock or lower compression imho. If its more race/drag looking for a et car on better fuel go higher and squeeze all the power out.

I'm 11:1 but run e85 all the time and my tune guy is 2 lines up so that speaks for itself.

10.7 at 15 lbs of boost on 93 octane. Lito didn't tune mine but I still like him a lot and have no qualms about recommending him as an alternative to my preferred tuner.

All depends on octane.

I would go with as high as you can support. Pump 10-10.5:1, e85 11-12:1

10.5:1 and E85 is where I am at and seem to the magic number. Lito hopefully this year we will see exactly what she is made of... Last time was kind of just a tease, Sorry!

That is because you chose the wrong guy ;-)

11.5:1 and my tuner is 4 posts up

Lmfao. Lito ftmfw

^^^All of this, LITO tunes mine too! I actually had LITO tuning my car remotely last year while it was strapped to ASR's dyno!

In all seriousness though, more CR will make for a better driver. You can always run lower boost or lower timing to keep the static compression ratio down for whatever fuel you run. My kids new motor I built for his driver is at 10.5:1, lots of options from there for later use.
