I have our units in the glove box for now to allow easy access. After Im done tuning I am going to ziptie it to the right of the glove box behind the small removable panel at the side of the dash. Depending on your year of your pcm, you need to ground either pin 30 or 39 on connector C175e for the clutch switch, it should be pin 30 on your 06'. Here is the shifter wiring diagram.

Here

Where did you pull this diagram from? Is the SIGRTN wire a power or ground wire

I wired in my manutronic today with a latching switch using the amg paddle shifters and it works great.... super quick shifts. Unfortunately when i disengage the manutronic and put it in conventional "drive".... the car doesnt want to shift itself anymore. Even if i disable the manutronic in the transmission tune, it still wont shift itself, although the quick 6 is showing It being in "drive". Anyone have a problem like this? I assume i have something not wired correctly but i wired it just like the manual says under "momentary shift buttons with latching on/off switch". Thanks for the help

I wonder if it has something to do with why they have updated the manual with a different wiring diagram.... seems like there is a few new things in there... i saw something on the trans brake wich wasnt in my original manualmanual

huh...did photobucket start allowing hot-linking again, but threw a huge water mark on it?

May i recommend using literally ANY image host from this day forth than photobucket?
sorry to side-track the discussion, those two are actually showing the exact same diagram, just laid out differently

Just curious if there is a reason the grounds are shown going back to the controller where as before they were not. I have learned while installing this controller that not every ground is necessarily suitable for what you are trying to do..... when i hooked the paddle shifters up i grounded them to a existing ground in the steering wheel. When i ran the latching toggle switch i grounded that to a existing ground in the center console. Will it make any difference at all if i ground them to the controller?

there are different circuits, that the relay that triggers the circuit is on the 12v side, or the ground side, window switches iirc will be 12v, and the coils are grounded i believe.

In this situation, the circuits are seperate on the positive side of the circuits, but come back together, only to split into both of the 16 labeled pinout, I imagine its doing the exact same thing as if you used a good ground near the steering wheel.

my car is working great right now. somehow when I turned on "burnout mode" in my tunes it would not allow my car to shift out of first gear. Maybe I wasn't understanding the intended use for that mode and wasn't using it correctly. Anyway, the only place where my tunes are lacking are in the torque converter controls because I frankly have no clue what I should be adjusting to get the car to feel like I want it. Are you guys who are happy with your tunes adjusting many of the values for the TCC? my car is a gt500 with a circle d converter and when it locks up it is very noticible and is not to my liking. I'm really just curious where others are at in this area with their adjustments... any insight is truly appreciated

I thought I would share how I wired mine and my sons cars. First off YOU ARE 100% RESPONSIBLE IF YOU USE THIS INFORMATION. I do NOT have neutral safety enabled on these cars yet. It will start in gear.

All factory auto cars will need to have pins B9 and E10 on C1035A connected together as you no longer have a digital range sensor to make that connection on you trans harness. You will also need to ground pin 30 on 05’-06’ cars and pin 39 on 07’-10’ cars on connector C175T. If you are a stick car you can do this or connect your wires together at the clutch deactivation switch.

Here is how I wired my Quick 6 harness
PIN
1. Gray- Starter Relay to C1035A D12 LG/YE or C175B Pin 7 LG/YE
2. White- O/D Lamp to aftermarket light
3. Green- TPS Signal to C2040 pin 5 WH
4. Brown- O/D Switch to momentary or toggle switch
5. Purple- Table Select to toggle switch
6. LT Blue- Manutronic Down to shifter pin 10 GN
7. Yellow- Tach Input to C1035B pin C5 via a tach adapter
8. N/A
9. Red- 12v Power to SJB 12 in start and run via a piggy back fuse
10. Pink- Backup lights to C2280D pins 13 and 26 tie together
11. Orange- only needed on carb applications
12. Tan- Speedo out to C175T pin 3 DB/YE with supplied resistor and your tuner will need to change your OSS to 40 in your tune
13. N/A
14. DK Blue- Manutronic Up to shifter pin 9 BN
15. Black- to PCM ground
16. Black- to PCM ground
Shifter Pin out 13’-14’
13’/14’ to 05’/07’
PIN
1. BK/OG to Brake switch interlock to RD/BK
2. WH/BN switch solenoid keylock inhibit to YE/LG
3. N/A
4. Purple switch illumination to LB/RD
5. BK/YE Ground to BK
6. N/A
7. N/A
8. N/A
9. DB Select Shift up to DB from Quick 6
10. GN Select Shift Down to LB on Quick 6
11. GN/WH Signal RTN N/A
Good Luck!
Pin 11 on the shifter is the ground for the select shift buttons, with it not connected there is no ground for the up down buttons on the shifter. I just figured this out this afternoon so I figured I would put it in here. That is why mine has not worked this whole time.

I keep mine unlocked for normal driving and only lock it in for 5 and 6 for wide open throttle

I have read this forum multiple times and it has tons of useful information ,
I have a 06 gt Auto, I am swapping 6r80 from 11 f150 4x2 5.0. I had a few questions I am not clear on.

Am I ok with keeping the stock Auto ECM or should I swap for a Manual? Will I get check engine lights with auto?

I am not clear on the transmission lines, will 2006 trans lines work, will 2011 trans lines fit 2006 radiator? or should I run a seperate cooler?

How is the stock converter? I was thinking of updgrading but seems like a lot $$.

is the swap really worth it, did you notice that much difference?

My parts list, am I missing anything?
Trans 6r8o BL3P-7000-AA or AB

drive shaft - Aluminum aftermarket.
Quick 6

cable mount bracket PA68502
11 flexplate BL3Z6375A
Autometer tach signal 9117

thanks

ECM will have to come from a manual car or contact someone who can remove the transmission control from you stock ecm (No, I don't know who does that)
There are plenty of option s for cooler lines listed in the thread. I used a cooler and cooler lines from an 11-14 Mustang. The lines need minor bending but work great.
I tried a stock converter from a Mustang not an F150. I worked but Circle D is well worth the money.
The swap was very worth it.
I never made a parts list. I wish I would have made a list. There are options for parts. For instance, I used a 2006 Shifter, not a shifter from an 11. I like the 06 shifter better for my car. Also, if you are using an F150 transmission, you will need to find a way to mount the cable to the transmission. That should be listed in the thread or check with Power By the Hour.

5CAF5BB4-674C-4D6B-A15E-7DA67142FC7D.jpeg You can not use your cooler or lines. They are smaller and will burn up the 6r80. I so happen to have what you need. I bought a derale, braided lines and pbh adapter for the low low price of around 700 bucks and relocated mine to the rear lol

thanks,

Anyone have any luck with the trans brake setup? Wanting to wire mine up to use it. Do I just buy a switch and run it to a ground then to the controller?

I have used the TB as part of the controller. It works well. I grounded one side a momentary switch and then the other side runs to the controller.
