I feel like I'm right on the cusp of getting the car running. The quick 6 is all wired up and I've got the manual ECU tune on. When the turn the car to the on position (not started) the quick 6 controller shows me 1 1 on the status. Talked with Kevin from US Shift and he says he thinks it could be that the trans is in manual 1st gear but needs to be in park or reverse to start. I removed my shifter and used the shifter cable and went through all the gears, status still showed 1 1 on it. (should be P, R, N, D 1, D 2, etc). Any ideas? One thing I found is my battery is sitting around 11.8v, reading sounds like it should be 13-14v?

Reading about it the issue could be the range sensor in the transmission. I'm going to first charge the battery to where it's showing 13-14v in case for whatever reason it's not getting enough power. If that doesn't work I'm going to check both ends of the harness, if that all looks good I'm going to check voltage on pin 2 and 3 (range sensor reading and power). If that looks good and the controller is delivering correct voltage I'll swap out the range sensor

I have not messed with one of these trans yet. Check the power and ground going into the trans. I know a drop in power in Eaton and Allison trans will cause the trans to lock out.

I would run a direct fused pwr wire (+13v)and ground to the trans.

it could be the range switch. What shifter are you using? Make sure Flex-Shift matches your shifter position/selection. Are you sure it is in park and the shift lever on the transmission is moving to Park?
Do you have Manutronic enabled? If so, try to disable manutronic in the settings.
Try a different 6R80 tune and write it to all tables.

Run direct fused power to what pin?
It would not be a bad idea to double check the ground at pin 15 & 16 of the Quick 6 controller. To be sure, send those pins right to the negative side of the battery to confirm you have good ground. You can send fused 12 volts right from the battery to pin 9 of the controller.

I'm using an OEM 05-09 Mustang Shifter, I couldn't make my TCI shifter work. I have a F150 case and PBH shifter cable braket and downwards lever. I'll check out the flex-shift setting and I'll make sure manutronic is disabled in the settings. Kevin with US Shift said he'd maybe heard about this once many years ago.

Okay, so I checked the flex shift options and nothing I changed it to did anything different. Checked manutronic and it was disabled. I check voltage to the quick 6 and it was getting 12.5v. Also check voltage from the pins going to gear selection and got 11v (without battery charger on I was seeing 9v).

Did you try a different tune? Are you sure there are no error codes? If you and Kevin are certain there are no wiring issues (probably not - it's a pre-made harness) and there are no firmware issues, look at the range switch.

ditch the 5r55 shifter and get a specific 6r80. the ranges are different in the gate and its freaking your quick6 out. the only way to determine this for sure is unhook the cable on the side of the trans and manually rest the trans in the park position , then power on the car and monitor the quick6 display. you should see it display P. if this is the case,"which is highly likely", change the shifter

the issue ended up being the lead frame in the 6R80. When I removed the pan I saw the sensor nub thing was broken off so when I went through the gears the sensor would not move. Swapped it out and I am now able to go through all the gears with the OEM 05-09 shifter. Now I have a new problem, the car won’t start (I haven’t been able to get it to start this whole time, thought it had to do with the fact the controller thought it was in 1st gear instead of P or N). I wired up the neutral safety just like the diagram on the website told me. When the key is on and the shifter is in either P or N I am still seeing 0.5-0.6v on it. Talking to Lito and he’s having me try to bypass it but still no luck. Car will click and I won’t hear the starter, no check engine lights either.

Jumped fuse 22 in the engine bay for the starter, got it running and it moved under it's own power! Still need to figure out the neutral safety though... Can't jump it every time.

So I have another weird issue. My backup lights are on in every gear. I followed the diagram for 05-09 Mustangs and they are still on in every gear. My Mustang started with a automatic 5R, so I actually didn't have a pin for 21 C175T. I added a pin, got it connected to 87 on the relay, 85+ for the pink pin 10 to the controller, 86- and 30 are grounded.

Skip the relay and connect your back-up lights directly to pin 10 of the controller.
As for you no start issue, it sounds like your pcm still thinks the car has the factory automatic transmission. Did you have Lito (or your tuner) remove that part of the tune?

Yeah it's been changed over to the manual strategy (backup lights on all the time are a symptom of this change according to Lito). No CEL when driving around.

I tried plugging pin 10 from the computer directly into pin 21 on C175T as well, still had the same issue. I guess I'll need to find where the backup lamp wires are. Where did you end up plugging yours in.

Cut circuit 1367 at pin 13 and circuit 1362 at pin at pin 26 of the SJB. Connect the pink wire from the Quick 6 (pin 10) to both of these wires at the harness end (not the SJB).
Thanks, found the reverse wires (didn't have time to wire them to the quick 6 but cut them and saw them shut off the reverse lights). Still no luck with the neutral safety. Got a call from US Shift, they told me we can consider the wiring diagram on the website wrong. He recommended I check for power on the quick 6 when I turn the key to crank it, that looked good, then he recommended I wire the gray neutral safety wire into -86 on the starter relay I've been removing. That didn't work either. I think I'm just going to run with no relay in there and run a switch to the interior.

Got the reverse lights wired in, worked great. Left reverse light wire was dark green with orange and right reverse light was white with yellow. Also ran lines to the neutral safety relay and put a button on it. So now I can put the key in run and push start. Running and driving fine! Thanks all for the help.

Good job! Remember to check the fluid hot. The trans needs to be something like 175 degrees to get the proper reading.
One of these buttons? https://www.americanmuscle.com/shr-startbutton-0509.html
Yeah picked up a simple button from autozone and got it wired in to jump the starter. Installed it just behind where you put the key in so it's not really noticeable. Fluid level is good checked it at 183 degrees last night.
