that was due to someone waaaaaay overtightening the bolt, although he wont admit fault
oh ok cool, i might have to get these...
does this make it a pain in the ass to change the oil?

There are to many variable from car to car, the point is with minimal mods and my Pro 5.0 I'm shifting at 6k+ with no issue![]()
Barely, for me. I bought one of those nuts with a valve in it, and that is waaay too big to fit. Oh well.no, the oil pan nut clears, just need to tilt it a bit
Are you making 500+ rwtq?
I have the same problem on the 1-2 shift, anything over 3k RPMs is basically impossible to shift into 2nd gear. However, I never miss 3rd gear like many of you have said. My car is a mild bolt on GT with an MGW shifter which hasn't relieved the problem. I posted a similar thread to this on TMS, afraid I have a bad synchronizer. They mentioned a TSB was out so perhaps you could look into that.
hope you enjoy your stay.would torque limiters still be worth doing if there is already a solid k-member holding the motor?
IMO yes, as it stops the tranny from moving.
Yeah, it's a very quick bolt on. Took maybe half an hour for me.are the torque limiters fairly easy to install, just jack the car up and bolt them in? or does anything special need to be done? BMR k-member BTW.

seems like it would be simple enough, just connecting a rod from the chassis to the transmission on both sidesI may pick up a set if the k-member isn't enough.
