Is there a way to reduce the exhaust noise level without losing much power?

I was thinking of adding two mufflers, oene on each side, in a mid muffler position between the H pipe and the bend to go over the axle. Are there some straight through mufflers that will fit there that won't cause a signifigant power loss? Something like 3 or 4 HP or less?

Would a simple glass pack or other straight through muffler work well or would I need a more "advanced" design like a moroso spiral flow muffler or one of those car chemistry mufflers with their inserts.

I added in " flow tech - red hots " into my midpipes and it quieted it down drastically . I run them with muffler deletes and it sounds damn near like stock until I nail it . summit , jegs ect. all carry them too

I used some Dynomax bullet resonators, toned it down a bit, not as raspy of a sound... Mine are mounted pretty much directly under the gas tank, pretty low on a 2" drop, and I scrape them sometimes, but not too bad... Love the sound!

I had used 2 Magnoflow mufflers and 2 resonators as well and it brought the noise down considerably. Before, my car was uncanny loud. It was manageable with the magnoflow set-up. My exhaust was also a full 3" front to back.

I had 2 Dynomax 12" bullets welded in after the h-pipe. Sounds perfect now.
