Is the street Boss a limited run? I'm not seeing evidence of that, and I saw a note somewhere that base pricing in the high 30s (I'm looking for that). What's the track only Boss cost?
Talked to a few guys this weekend who saw them at Laguna Seca, They had the Black one and Red one there but also had a Silver and Kona Blue version.. Bad news, he said they sticker write up on the cars showed them at 60K and for the Laguna Seca edition 120K Price tag.
Actually since you asked.. yes its good crack.. kinda has a back taste of winter green. That's some bad crack you're smoking if you believe that...
Pricing hasn't been released yet, so all this he said she said bs is going to get old.

I heard the same thing from 2 guys that were at the unveiling, who know people at Ford and FRPP. Maybe they were all fed the same bullshit, but it's kinda ironic that those are the exact same numbers I was told by these dudes.Actually since you asked.. yes its good crack.. kinda has a back taste of winter green.
Either way I hope they guy who told me what he saw was the one smoking crack cause I got the wife talked into getting one.
As for pricing... My guesses are (starting at) $39k for the regular Boss 302, and $49k for the Laguna Seca.
Car and Driver estimated the price for the base boss at 36 and the LS at 40.
It would be a real shame if either of these cost as much or higher than the GT500.
I'd rather have the base Boss with those race looking seats (which is an optional upgrade) and those triple gauges on the dash in Race Red with the black striping.
I wonder if the electronics package (nav) will be available? I really hope so. I mean, you need directions to the track right?![]()
The Mach 1s in 03/04 were only about 5-7 grand more then the GTs. im guessing around the same with the Boss
Make mine a Laguna Seca....and they both come with the ultimate aftermarket performance option....foglight delete!![]()
That would be a shame in my opinion... If you want luxury get a loaded GT... Not a Boss....
There is not enough content to justify a 10k increase in price between the two. Plus, they are not going to list it higher than a gt500, whose base price is 48k.As for pricing... My guesses are (starting at) $39k for the regular Boss 302, and $49k for the Laguna Seca.
I got a real inside look at Laguna Seca. Plan on $40 -42K for the base car and $51K for the Laguna Seca edition. The details on this car is fantastic. They will sell out and the dealers will get ADM.
One thing I don't get, and is disappointing to me, is that they don't offer Grabber Blue. That color is back and was offered with the original Boss 302s in 69/70. I know some think it's a "girly" color, but it is classic and I like how it looks in person. Just like the name, the color really does grab your attention.
About the electronics package...if I do get a Boss and they don't offer that, I'll just have the dealer order me the thing and I'll install the damn thing myself. I will have a nav system in a boss one way or another, damn it.

A nav system is not about luxury. It's about telling you where to go. It would be even better if the nav system could display race tracks showing you where you are on the track and what the next turn will look like. Sort of like in racing video games.
It's not like this would be standard. Plus, the LS boss is the more race oriented version. If you want a more striped down race version get that, or the 302R. That's what they're there for. The base boss is for those who want the better performance and be a part of the boss legacy but want the nice stuff as well. There's more than one boss you know...

Remember, this is a base car we are talking about. Crummy interior, crummy radio, manual cloth seats, etc. Base GT is 29k, and base with brakes would still be less than 31k. If they think they are going to get 8-9k for the difference on the regualr boss, then they are nuts. I am betting the regualr Boss comes in at 35k-36k base and the Laguna comes in 38-39k No one in their right mind is going to pay 45-50k for a laguna. When the 2011 hype dies down, you will be able to pick up a gt500 for under MSRP, just like every other gt500, so no onw would buy the laguna.
