It sounds like this is the same engine that is in the Boss 302R. I'm anxious to see how high these things will spin...

It IS the same. The article talks about having to pull some engines off the assembly line before going to the dyno rooms for the "302R" cars.

Forced Air Performance supercharger (Rotrex), 10.4:1 302 stroker, FRPP shorty headers, Offroad X, 60lb injectors, GT500 pumps, stock everything else.

SAE. 91 degrees, 25.97hg, 39% humidity. Dyno'd last night (8-26).

502.25hp at 6200 rpm 488.22tq at 4700 rpm. 10.5 psi (75mm pulley. 80mm pulley was 8.5 psi, and 85mm pulley was 6.5 psi).

Yes. Assuming all conditions were the same, I'd make the same power at sea level at the same boost (although I'd make a couple more lbs at sea level which would then result in more power).

well, i made 455 on the 85, so you'd easily be in 550 area, i would think, unless its past the blower's efficiency... but you do have a better HU, though it didnt say on my HU that it was 71 (but thats what FAP told me they sold my kit's previous owner). I thought he mentioned it was 81... regardless, I want a stroker. lucky bastard... enjoy

I think you are the only other person online with a fap kit...

Does anyone know what the crazy exhaust is under the Boss 302?
Look at the Picture and right after the H pipe crossover there is some pipes going to the rear wheels.

They're mostly for sound, they flow very little exhuast according to the article. I watched the Jay Leno review and damn it sounded so fucking sexy when the Ford guy revved it at the end

SAE does not correct correctly for boosted cars at elevation. It over states the numbers. FYI that is pretty common knowledge. /highjack

As for the Boss cars, it is exactly the same engine as the Boss 302r cars. That is why every article states that the engine was "tested on the track" yet still meets the strict durability requirements set forth by Ford.

So the 2010 GT500 that dyno'd on the same dyno that made 441 to the wheel stock... That must be overstated too? Regardless, it would have made more boost at sea level, so that should make up for whatever irregularities you're coming up with.

"I" didn't come up with it. It is a well known fact. The altitude correction factor works well for NA cars, but is not ideal for FI. A nuber is just a number anyways ;)
I've never looked into what a blown 3-valve makes, as my GT is just my daily driver. I certainly don't need another jack stand queen. Oddly enough, that is what is pushing me towards a Boss for my next daily. I could probably pick up a used 2010 gt 500 for the same price, but I would be WAY too tempted to go nuts on it. I've wanted to build a TT one since before Hellion released their kit.
