I've got the all-season Pirellis, too, and now I'm wondering if I should even bother with winter tires. I probably won't be driving in deep snow, but I'll have to drive on packed snow since my neighborhood hardly ever gets plowed properly.
Do the smart thing and get snow tires.
My Blown GT has been through 4 seasons of winter. First year on the stock tires was the worst. Blizzaks solved th problem of constantly losing traction, greatly reduced the risk of getting stuck, etc.
I also hope that if you have metal plates in the trunk, you don't rear end someone. That plate will go right through your back seat, and probably hit you. I've seen it happen with a sand bag.
Probably don't want to cross the tracks when a train is coming either. Do the smart thing and don't hit someone from behind.
Your responses are amusing at best.
In snow, your stock tires lose their effectiveness when it is freezing cold. So, if you can't stop in time, what happens then? Accidents happen.
I've been driving a 500+ HP car through every type of weather, and because of the snow tires, I have avoided accidents that would happen otherwise. I.E Black ice, 10+ inches of snow, someone cuts you off, the list goes on and on.
Probably don't want to cross the tracks when a train is coming either. Do the smart thing and don't hit someone from behind. I've had weights and tools in my trunk all winter, but the possibility of something like this happening won't keep me from using them. I need to get some rest in my bomb shelter now for the impending end of the world nuclear meltdown.
????? because people try to get in ACCIDENTS
