My 08 GT is a DD, but no snow, ice or wet salty roads. I drive it any chance I get. I bought it to drive. 26K on it.

My '11 5.0 gets driven mostly to cruise-ins and the occasional nice day road trip. My DD (2004 Dodge Durango) gets worse gas mileage and is starting to rack up a lot of miles, so I may sell it and DD the Mustang over the summer and get something new this fall.

Drive mine almost every day. If the wife's off I take her Evo occasionally. Someday I'd like it to be a garage queen but not yet.

Been driving mine as much as I can. Live out on a farm with a 1000' or better dirt driveway that my one-ton gets stuck in. Sucks but what do you do. Get sick of just looking at the damn thing in the garage for 5 months a year. I am glad that my p-zero nero's are rated as a mud and snow tire. I reccomend them to anybody with similar living conditions. They dont do much for the lawn tho.

I've got the all-season Pirellis, too, and now I'm wondering if I should even bother with winter tires. I probably won't be driving in deep snow, but I'll have to drive on packed snow since my neighborhood hardly ever gets plowed properly.

Don't waste your money. The Pirellis work great in the snow. All you need is some weight in the trunk. Those rubber coated 50lbs plates are what I plan on using next winter instead of tool boxes. Leaves more room.

I drive mine Year round, 2005 gt with 4.10's.
In winter snow tires make a big differance and i would recomend them to anyone driving in temps below 35F or if you get snow.

Do the smart thing and get snow tires.

My Blown GT has been through 4 seasons of winter. First year on the stock tires was the worst. Blizzaks solved th problem of constantly losing traction, greatly reduced the risk of getting stuck, etc.

I also hope that if you have metal plates in the trunk, you don't rear end someone. That plate will go right through your back seat, and probably hit you. I've seen it happen with a sand bag.

Probably don't want to cross the tracks when a train is coming either. Do the smart thing and don't hit someone from behind. I've had weights and tools in my trunk all winter, but the possibility of something like this happening won't keep me from using them. I need to get some rest in my bomb shelter now for the impending end of the world nuclear meltdown.

Your responses are amusing at best.

In snow, your stock tires lose their effectiveness when it is freezing cold. So, if you can't stop in time, what happens then? Accidents happen.

I've been driving a 500+ HP car through every type of weather, and because of the snow tires, I have avoided accidents that would happen otherwise. I.E Black ice, 10+ inches of snow, someone cuts you off, the list goes on and on.

Thanks. I try to be amusing. Being serious is for work. I agree, snow tires work. But, people can make it through winter without them. I suppose a 500HP car needs special attention, but for us lowly 300HP types I proved that a winter with a very ugly blizzard can be managed on stock tires.

Talking on the cell phone, drinking and driving, distracted driving, following too close, unsafe speed for conditions, in a hurry, not following rules of the road or being considerate of other drivers. Yeah, no one tries to get in an accident, it just comes as a result of all the other things they "try" to do.
