Its a balance between heat and flow. The initial load/energy from the restrictive oem log headers will start moving the air a little quicker initialy but thats about it and alot of that energy is lost as it then travels through another 9-10ft of piping to a front mount turbo. They are restricting flow right at the head, increasing cylinder temps backpressure and decreasing heat flow at the turbo where you really want it. Thats why i went with ceramic coated tuned length shorties to mimic turbo headers. No restriction in flow at the head and still get the benefit of pulse scavenging to increase flow. IMHO your better off ceramic coating all the piping before the turbo inside and out and go with a better flowing tuned length header. You wont sacrifice flow and you will retain heat all the way to the turbo. It gets rid of the restriction at the head and now its at the turbo where you really want it.

The oem manifolds are obviously cheap and will work but theres no go damn way those boat anchors were going back on my car after having kooks longtubes. lol

Shit do I have mention weight savings lol my shorties are half the weight of the stock manifolds.
