Anybody running a GT500 TB on a Whipple?

Just curious as to if anybody has any experience running a GT 500 Throttle Body on a Whipple setup? I called JDM yesterday and they were a little reluctant to sell me their throttle body conversion kits as they thought there MIGHT be some clearance issues. Has anybody tried to mount one of these on a Whipple? If so what problems did you encounter and what was the fix? Thanks ......Don

Before anybody takes this out of context...I am NOT SLAMMING OR FLAMING JDM! They make some KILLER products and their staff were VERY helpful....I was just wondering if anyone has ever bought their kit and modified it to make it work. JDM is GREAT in my book!

not to be civil, i do not know anyone off the top of my headthat has used the JDM conversion kit on a whipple. but if they think there are clearance issues then they may be right. if you were to buy it before they could test it on a whipple, that would be on you and you are taking the chance of it not fitting. did they give you a time table on when they will be ready to sell a gt500 upgrade kit for a whipple?

Will you be using the GT 500 TB?.. or an aftermarket? I have heard SOME horrible things about aftemarket drive by wire tb's. I just want reliablity and increased flow!..keep us posted! Thanks Don

yes he is gonig to use the GT500 Tb. hes also got a huge accufab Single blade one for the KB's. i wonder if he can modify for whipple. hmm
