Well we didn't want to post anything this time around, until we knew it could be done. We decided a little over a week ago that we were going to run a car in the Belle Isle, MI round of SCCA World Challengem (our local race). We already had most everything here, including a fresh tub, and a wrecked Grand-am car. We spent the next week working late nights, over-nighting parts, calling in favors, and receiving a lot of help from our friends.

Late Wednesday (5/29), the car was fired and load onto the race hauler. It was delivered to the track this morning (5/30) and the crew is there now finishing up the last touches and set up.

We have more pics of the car to share, and will post more after the weekend.
We are supporting 3 cars out of our shop, and will most likely be helping a couple of other teams at the event as well.

Here's a teaser for now of the car being loaded.

Thats about the size of the FR500S wing. Isnt that the Boss 302R wing? I want to know where the exhaust is coming out at because theirs nothing at the rear bumper.

That is the Boss 302S wing made by G-Stream. It's spec'd at 62" wide for SCCA. The end plates were not installed yet in this pic.
The 302R runs a small wing made by Steeda.

The exhaust was not on the car at that time. We literally got the car fired and put it on the truck. We finished installing the exhaust and setting up the car in the Belle Isle paddock (Parking Lot).

We finished the car at 10pm last night. Hit the track at 8am this morning.

at 12:30pm we qualified P5, and fastest Mustang on the Isle!
Not bad for a hard weeks work, and a rough setup.

Finished race 1 in P4.
Missed a nasty wreck right in front of us on the start. Pushed us back a few spots but Dean was able to push the car back up and challenge for a podium.

We did finish as the top Mustang on the track.

Do ya'll plan to continue to run the rest of the series or is not prudent given you would start out hundreds of points behind? You guys already missed a bunch of races haven't you?

Congratulatios on placing first in race 2!

It's up in the air as to which races we'll attend the rest of the year. Typically our primary focus is in Grand-am. In the event that we have the time and sponsorship, we will most likely attend more SCCA races this year.

There have now been 4 rounds, and 6 remaining.

For those of you that have not yet heard, we WON Race 2 on Sunday. Heading into the final green lap we came from 4th to 1st in a wreck that saw some of the top GT cars crash out.

Does anyone else find it disgusting that Rehagen Racing can build a race car in less than 48 hours and win things?

I call it cheating, and insanity! :D

Just kidding, congrats! :)
