Eaton or Auburn Locker Part Number Needed

I have only put about 80 passes on my current LSD and about 10k miles. If the TruTrac last twice as long as the factory stock unit, that is still only 160 passes and 20k miles. Which for me is about 14 to 16 months of use.

160 runs is about 2-3 months for me. hahah.

If it helps your peace of mind, I have about 26K miles and 600+ runs (all supercharged) on my TruTrac.

Does anyone have the correct part number for the trutrac fitting the 8.8 in the S197?

That's good to hear. I guess I am just gonna go for it.

My biggest problem is I am a great impulse buyer. I see something I like and just get it. Now that I am trying to do research and make "informed choices", my head hurts...LOL

Diff locker

Randy (Born To Run) has an electronic auburn locker, I would ask him. He says he is very pleased with it

I have the Auburn EKTED diff locker,it works great,200 passes supercharged,no problems,turn it on to race,turn it off & drive home.Best of both worlds.

After you posted it, he still questioned the application for that P/N, so I was confirming what you said... that the 913A561 was indeed correct.

BTW, I got mine 2 years ago at DTS, and it was cheaper then, too.

I was trying to find a part number for a while. I sent Eaton an email asking them about it a few days before this post. They didn't reply to me until after I got info from you guys (thanks again BTW). Here is what the said ...

The 813A024 is a EZ Locker which has been discontinued and is not for a performance car like a Mustang.

I would recommend a Truetrac, 913A561, it fits the 8.8 Ford axle with 31 spline and is a good strong dependable unit.

If you need to get new bearings get the FRPP M-4210-B kit.
Don't get the M-4210-C kit which includes the axle bearings and seals since our axles are thicker than the 1986-2004

you should replace the bearings every time you do a build. If you have high miles (100,000+) I would do it then too.

Buy the master rebuild kit. It has everything you will need (less shims in some cases).
