Finally found a 28" tall radial front for 17's!!!

I spent the better part of 2 hours searching for a taller front runner radial that will work on a 17x4.5. No one has one above 26" tall it seems and even then options are very limited. I found countless threads on the web about people doing the same search to no avail and I was about to give up and get a 26" tall tire for my 17's...

Finally found that Mickey has a 28X6R17LT tire now and only in their Sportsman S/R version, part number is 90000020408. They haven't started shipping them yet but should be out soon.

Now off to find the best price!

Lots more options for front runners for 15's, you can even get a regular 15" street radial tire that tall for around $70 if you wanted.

The prob with those are they call for a width of 4.5 wjere my racestars are 3.75

It says "measuring wheel width" is 4". It says the exact same thing for the 26" tires you're currently using.
Look at the specs at Summit, it says use a wheel between 3.5" and 4.5"

You can use a 6-7 inch tire with a 3.75 rim no problem, people put 7-8 inch on the 4.5 rim.

Why? MT and Hoosier both make a bias ply front runner in 28" but neither have a 28" radial.
