Fox body. How much is it worth?

Eyeballing a 91 hatch. Titanium Frost, 5 spd manual. 3 owners, no wrecks. 16,700 miles. Immaculate condition.

He's asking $11,900.... I'm thinking more like $8-10,000 at most??? Hell I don't know...

I bought my 89 with 14279 original miles . The car still had new car smell in the interior , never seen rain or snow garage kept . Its harder and harder now a days to find foxbodies with very low miles , so I would say buy it .

Yeah, I haven't seen it in person yet, but he just sent me a pic and the undercarriage looks clean as a whistle.... Any tips on spotting a 16,000 mile car vs. a 116,000 that's been maintained and fixed up. Didn't the fox's odometers only go to 100k?

My 06 will be paid off in a month or two. So I'm feeling the itch to spend that money... I'm gonna have to do some thinking on this one.. If I buy this car, that will put me up to 4 vehicles...

If I could get him down to 10,000 or 11,000, I'd be a lot happier... Hopefully he'll budge.... I think I'll hold firm at that and if he won't take it, it's not meant to be..

yea... 10K sounds fair for the miles. when you go look at it check around the battery box front strut towers bottoms of the doors and the torque boxes if you can get under it enough and look for rust and such. those are the areas that see rust the most with the fox bodies

Good plan. After thinking about it though, I would suggest you take the car to an autobody shop and pay someone $50 to inspect it for prior damage. That model is going to have some gaps just because of the nature of that car, and I don't see anything too glaringly evident besides that passenger door looking a tad bit too high. But that's also the nature of those cars, for the door hinges to get lazy or stiff just from aging. A real body shop should remove all doubt though. I would also get at least a leak down test done on the engine as well as inspecting the oils in the various places like engine, trans, diff if possible and P/S pump...you get the idea...and I bet you didn't even need me to say it. Good luck on it though. If I had $10.5k sitting around, I'd make an offer to the guy myself! In another 20 years, you'll be able to get four times what you'll pay for it now.

That's a sharp car, definitely looks like those are actual miles from looking at the last pic. I would like to find one like that someday and I would be willing to give that price for it. I regret selling mine ever since I got a job that allowed me to build the car I wanted.

There are nothing but ragged out, rusted and wrecked foxes out there that would cost just as much if not more to get them in that condition, and, they would be "restored"..This one is original. My brother had a CHERRY white 91 with 50k on it a few years back. He sold because he was daily driving it and it drove him nuts worrying about it... He bought a scion xB to replace it....

Funny, I just talked with my brother about that.. Restoring one vs. original and the fact that you'd be in at about the same price...
The guy said he paid 13k a few months back... now he's building a house, no time to play, blah blah blah..
