i returned mine awhile back and got the C&L and there is no difference in power between the 2 manifolds...the C&L just gives me better piece of mind..

what about heat soak? i'm just curious.

thanks

after driving for a cruise for about an hour and a half i opened the hood and it was ambient temp...i also have a functional hood scoop...i love the manifold so far! The FRPP manifold could really be ok flexing like that but it was just something to worry about while driving and didn't want that sitting in the back of my mind...

I am curious about the IAT difference from intake to intake, but based on the fact that they make similar power I would assume they are close.

Just thinking optimistically about FR's warranty, do you know if FR will replace any car parts that had been damaged if the manifold was found to be defective and the cause for the damage?

What other parts could possibly be damaged by a potentially cracked intake manifold? Which really is the worst that could happen. A crack. That's it. And none have surfaced, which proves it truly is as durable as they say. I'd put your pessimistic worries to rest.

That's would fall under "consequential damages" which no warranty for anything would ever cover unless the lawyers really screwed up in writing the warranty.

What kind of sissy runs and hides when his Mustang explodes anyway? A real Mustang guy would be beating the flames down with the shirt off his back. F*ck death, I gotta save the stang!

 I had to do it once myself. Me and my buddys had to walk home in the middle of winter stoned out of our minds half naked after doing multiple donuts and flooding the carb on an old Pontiac. Lost our coats, shirts, and the car!

Are you being serious, or are you trying to be funny?

If you're being serious... the video is from 6th March 2009, long before the FRPP manifold was released.

If you're trying to be funny... meh.

P.s. I fixed the embedded video for you.

Even if that car had an FRPP intake, how is a nitrous backfire the fault of an intake manifold? If we were talking about an FRPP window switch that failed I'd see your point, but this is just stupid.

So can anyone confirm that FRPP started using a thicker composite on the intake manifolds? I still love the way it looks and even though the "flexing" seems like its not going to cause an issue, I don't want to risk it.

According to FRPP, the castings are all identical, and there have been no changes, no updates, and no problems. There are manifolds that don't seem to "flex" like the others, but it's more likely they just haven't been looking for it or haven't noticed it. I've sold quite a few of the early and late batches and they all flex, even the one on my own car.
