The pump set up still has me on the fence, some people like the Fuel Lab , others Like Magna Fuel which makes a great pump and is quieter.
The Fuel Lab pump Im looking to get is 175 gph rated for 1500 hp . Thats more then enough .
Another option is to get three Bosch 044 pumps and they work great as well , but I want to eliminate the amount of wiring for fuel pumps.
To run a surge tank set up , Im having 8" x 8" x 6" Tank made which will hold about 1.6 gallons of fuel . Ill replace the bad Walbro in tank pump with a new one and turn the fittings to face towards the rear. Two pumps will run at 30 psi's without the pressure regulator and feed the surge tank . The -8 return line will now need to return to the surge tank , and attach another -8 from the surge to the factory tank as a overflow. I can run a -12 from the surge tank to a pre-filter -10 to the big pump , and then another inline filter after the pump before the rails . The two walbros at 30 psi's flow a ton so the surge tank basically is feeding the main pump all the time . It wont be able to suck the tank dry .
This way I can run as much boost as I want and not run out of pump .
My friends EVO has the 1800 hp Fuel Lab pump and he drives the car every day in traffic without vapor lock issues or surging , when you run e85 its also alot harder to get vapor lock b/c the fuel is cooler anyway.
Bosch Set up:
Here's the 1500hp MagnaFuel , great pump :
Here's Fuel Lab's 170 gph 1500hp pump , I heard very good things about this pump and that it has two speeds so you can run it at low speed and then activate the high speed under boost at a certain boost with a hobb switch or toggle swith , or thru a tune on a sand alone , whatever way you want to activate it:
