I've got a 4" DP on mine. I took it off the other day to see if there is a difference. I took it off cause I didn't like where the exhaust dumped and I need to finish the piping route with the 4". I know I went from 9.85 to 9.66 when changed. But I also fixed some piping leaks and Lito worked on some parameters in the tuning. When my track opens in a few weeks and I go with the 3" exhaust on and if the car runs 9.8s again, I'll know the DP made the difference.

The difference more then likely is back pressure , just put a electric cut out. What Im going to do is have MAK build me a new 3.5" dp and if I see any issue's with back pressure then I'll install a cut out.

The pump set up still has me on the fence, some people like the Fuel Lab , others Like Magna Fuel which makes a great pump and is quieter.
The Fuel Lab pump Im looking to get is 175 gph rated for 1500 hp . Thats more then enough .
Another option is to get three Bosch 044 pumps and they work great as well , but I want to eliminate the amount of wiring for fuel pumps.
To run a surge tank set up , Im having 8" x 8" x 6" Tank made which will hold about 1.6 gallons of fuel . Ill replace the bad Walbro in tank pump with a new one and turn the fittings to face towards the rear. Two pumps will run at 30 psi's without the pressure regulator and feed the surge tank . The -8 return line will now need to return to the surge tank , and attach another -8 from the surge to the factory tank as a overflow. I can run a -12 from the surge tank to a pre-filter -10 to the big pump , and then another inline filter after the pump before the rails . The two walbros at 30 psi's flow a ton so the surge tank basically is feeding the main pump all the time . It wont be able to suck the tank dry .
This way I can run as much boost as I want and not run out of pump .

My friends EVO has the 1800 hp Fuel Lab pump and he drives the car every day in traffic without vapor lock issues or surging , when you run e85 its also alot harder to get vapor lock b/c the fuel is cooler anyway.

Here's the 1500hp MagnaFuel , great pump :

Here's Fuel Lab's 170 gph 1500hp pump , I heard very good things about this pump and that it has two speeds so you can run it at low speed and then activate the high speed under boost at a certain boost with a hobb switch or toggle swith , or thru a tune on a sand alone , whatever way you want to activate it:

I'm using the magnafuel pump and have been for awhile now - I really like it...

For where you (and odds) are going I would just go with downpipes anyway and forget exhaust all together.

My car is not too loud except WOT and the downpipes being dumps was one of the best moves I made on my car.

wheres updates?

Sorry guys I have been busy as hell trying to finish up my Lil 306ci Foxbody . Came out pretty nice , will be tuning it this weekend . Its a 11.1 compression stockblock HCI with a valley girdle and main girdle , sort of like a budget build motor. Running on E85 as we speak. Just had the whole car painted unfortunately I had a front skinny blow out from dry rotted and damaged the LT corner lamp , fender , lwr rocker and door. The car has 14279 original miles and the paint was perfect but we had trouble trying to match it to basecoat clearcoat since back in 89 the car came from the factory single stage . I said F*(& it paint the whole thing again . Here are some pics:

Anyway as far as the 07 goes , Its Official on the Turbo , Im getting a CT43-8079 Comp Turbo , Its 80mm Billet Wheel triple ball bearing , rated for 1350 rwhp . As far as the pumps I should have them by Friday . Three Aeromotive 340s , in the Fore Fuel hat , which will keep things simple , The injectors will be last , ID 1600s will allow me to drop the rail pressure down to 43 which even at 30 psi's of boost will leave me with plenty of pump left. I think at 25 psi's it should make 950 to 1000 rwhp.

I'll post up pics once the pumps get here . The Turbo will be here by second week of March.

Hey Marc , hope all is well haven't spoken to you in awhile . Yes I know what your saying, but its not what Im trying to do.
Nobody , has gone my route, and kept the car 100% street . As far as I know if I can get the car in the low 9s on stock unported heads with stock cams and full exhaust 100% street car full interior with sound system and all, it will be a record. I drive this car everyday on the street , and has all the interior. I know that our Turbo Cars are Quite , but mine is dead quite . You can hear the fuel pumps over the motor .
All this with 3:27 gears , full automatic valve body with lock up and overdrive. My best pass was a 9.68 @ 143mph with a 1.39 60ft , It went a 6.220 @ 108.90 in the 1/8th . Ive been tweeking the car at my local 1/8th mile and its gone a 6.27 @ 112 mph now with a 1.44 60ft ( track sucks ) I have to leave a little softer on the 2 step.
Thats 4 mph faster in the 1/8th , so add 4 mph to the 1/4 from my last outting and it gives me 147. You know Turbo cars will pick up more in the backhalf, so it might be even more, but Im good with the simple math for now.
All this is with the 74mmbb , cant wait for the new combo to turn up the boost .
So lets say 147mph should get me to the 9.50s high 40s. Now add another 140 rwhp to the car . Its got to get me close to the 9 teen's ?

Cant Wait!!! Your car is such a beast!

Thanks , Im really anxious to get the Turbo Car done but to be honest with you Im dying to take the Fox out once I have the Nitrous Kit and suspension done . Its going to be slower then my Street Car , hAHAHHA, but with a 175 shot it should pull the tires way up and be a whole lotta fun to drive. Im thinking it should run like 10.20s on the Jug!

Sorry I should be a little more clear , the valvetrain is upgraded , better springs ( higher pressure ) . The valves are stock , stock followers , retainers etc. The VCT's are locked out b/c of the springs.

I like Aeromotive, they have top quality parts. My pro stock fuel regulator came in and its a beautiful piece. The Aeromotive A2000 fuel pump is awesome, and looks like the magnafuel pump above.

In any case I have seen alot of cars in the 9.20s at 148mph.

And I believe you would have the record, as I know of no other S197 true street car with stock heads/cams running low 9s in the country.

Today woke up early and installed the new Aeromotive Pumps . They are very , very quite , I was very surprised .

The positive and negative on the Aeromotive pumps are switched from the Walbro's . While I had the harness un -plugged I just switched the wiring over and re fastened the clips for the pumps . The socks were a PITA to install but finally got them in there .

Will get the Turbo Ordered when I get back from Bradenton next week .
