What cable bracket did you use? I had to custom make mine.

Case and bell on the trans SFI rated do you don't need a blanket / shield? I used the JPC parachute mount and rear bumper bar as well--its a clean set up for our cars.

Psfracer: my Transmission Specialties Pro line 5000 Power Glide is rated at 2000 HP has PA SFI Flex Plate, SFI aftermarket Bell housing and SFI Aftermarket Case with tail.
If any one wants further specifics google the trans info. I'm not skimping on build. With this trans I don't need a blanket or shield according to rule book.

Nice, what first gear ratio did you go with? 1.80? Thats what I use.

Here are the specs on the transmissions Paul...the 5000 is nearly their top trans at transmission specialties. They are good people there, I went to pick up my 2500 trans at their shop a few weeks ago along with one of their super 8 converters.

Ok yeah I don't know what I typed there or if auto correct did something stupid as usual, but what I meant to say was:

IF the trans has an SFI rated case and bell housing, you do NOT need a trans shield or blanket. Based on the trans specs above, you don't need any of that as you already stated. Nice trans. I have an ATI trans with supercase, so I don't need a blanket or shield either.

I don't know about you guys, but I am glad I went that route because on mine it was a pretty tight fit---I don't know if I could have fit a blanket or shield anyway if I didn't get the SFI case and bell housing.

I also went with the 1.80 ratio. I'm glad I don't have to hassle with a blanket and in not sure how much difficulty the shield would impose on install..
I'm glad I did the sfi case for the long term I feel its worth the cost difference.
