I think Simon has some good ideas. Check the valet screw; it's there to prevent movement and keep the valve open.

Actually it keeps the by pass from closing.

with the car not running the by pass valve should be extended and sitting on the little valet screw (Horizontal to the supercharger). When you start the car it should be sucked back towards the hose (vertical to the supercharger)

I hopefully found the issue, bingo on the upper screw clamp getting in the way of the bypass arm. Moved the clamp and get full extension double and tripled checked the vacuum lines found 1 pinched behind the manifold.

Going for test drive the power comes on a lot quicker and can tell the boost is up(no boost gauge/ just seat of the pants feel) however I got the following codes

failsafe engine mode
P061 unknown
P1000 OBDII system readness test
P2106 Throttle control system/ Forced limited powera

All so the throttle body hangs up around 1500 and will not go done unless I use the brakes to slow the car.:thud:

Hopefully you found the problem. If it was my car, I would get it dyno-tuned before driving it anymore.

Are you runnning on the factory Kenne Bell tune? If not don't drive the car hard again until you get it back to you tuner or we will be following your engine build thread next.

What he ^^ said X 1000. Get it retuned before you drive it in boost again ! Good luck.

Must get a goo dyno tune now!
Sounds like you have an automatic transmission and are getting a P061b torque calculation error condition. I know the perfect tuner person to resolve that...in Oklahoma/Texas, though.

As mentioned, do NOT drive it hard until you get it properly tuned with the boost you're getting now.

The RPMS hang? or the throttle plate stays open? Two different things.

If the idle hangs it's tuning.

going to tuner

I have an appt with tuner in an hour to get the tune figured out, Question has anyone else have an issue with the 130 mm T/B and an automatic transmission in getting the throttle response dialed in?

My tuner did not have any problems with it. I did have a 4R70W Full Manual Valvebody though. It is probably the dashpot in the tune needs to be adjusted for the bigger throttlebody.

There were some "tricks" to get the 130mm tb and 5r55s auto to work. But I have no drivability issues. The throttle can be a little sensitive, too, but mine's not bad.

You'll probably post up about failsafe issues after your dyno tune and from driving around. Hopefully your tuner can prevent those the first time.

Car is still at the shop, The shop did work on the dashpot, MAF volt, Air/fuel ratio. Mechanic called and stated during the test drive that the car is making more power( breaking the rear tires loose at will, never did this before the S/C) he is going to put it on the dyno in the am. hopefully this result is better then the last one

Glad they are figuring it out for you and glad the boost problem was simple.

I learned this when we put my built motor in and with an 18 psi pulley it only made 10 psi. I didn't find it till I had the car back home and about to pull the supercharger off.

I haven't had any issues to date (3 years) with the 130mm Stage 2 tb and the 5r55s with the stock KB 2.6 tune.

Your running aftermarket headers with the stock KB tune? Their instructions say that's a no-no.

How would after market headers be a no-no? If you listen to Jim Bell he will tell you they are not recommended due to a higher potential for an exhaust leak. KB has a lot of stuff they like to say not to do but the fact it they test all their kits on stock cars that don't need all that stuff (headers, bigger maf, after market fuel system).

I wouldn't run a set of longtubes with the stock kb tune. However, if a set of longtubes gain xxx power on an n/a car then there is no way anyone can say they won't do any good on a blower car.

They don't bother to explain it in the instructions they just say that you should have the car custom tuned if you have an aftermarket exhaust. I'm assuming they think it would tend to run a little lean that way without a re-tune. Only thing I can think of. Some of what KB says is at odds with what you read elsewhere on the internet especially regarding gains from things like headers which they seem to say are just short of worthless. Regardless it's their kit and since I personally like to go by the book I tend to go by their recommendations at least as long as my engine stays stock.

I know as my car had been supercharged since early 2005. I had one of the first 2.6L kits out to the public. KB is a great company and does a lot of testing to show everyone real world numbers.

KB tunes stock cars and there for they have to say that all the rest is useless. They can't write tunes for individual cars like a shop can. They are always busy with other stuff (If you ever try calling them you will know what I mean) and can't have custom tunes everywhere. It is hard enough for some tuners to get it right on a n/a car over the mail order tunes so you can imagine if they screwed up 1 thing on a custom tune through mail order. BOOM!!! and their reputation would suffer.

Final dyno run

Got the car back from the tuner today, throttle response is great. having the the 130mm t/b and a automatic took a bit to get them to work together also had an issue the ecm and the torque increase causing a CEL to come on

Nice flat torque curve, HP is great could do better with long tubes and a better mid-pipe. how ever the pony fund is dried up for a while.:yeah:
